Cindy McCain, the widow of the late Sen. John McCain, said on a podcast released Wednesday that the Republican Party is "excluding people for the wrong reasons" and is no longer "the party that my husband and I belonged to."
When McCain was asked if Democrats have a chance to win Arizona in 2020, she said she "really can" see the southwestern state going blue.
"We have, on my side of the aisle, on the Republican side, we see a local party in Arizona that's not functioning well. And it's excluding people. And it's excluding people for the wrong reasons," McCain said in an interview for Politico's "Women Rule" podcast.
John McCain, whose career in Washington spanned decades, cultivated a reputation for occasionally opposing Republicans.

He and his wife were never conservatives, they were members of the establishment elite. Politics is changing in this country and people like Cindy McCain will end up on the other side of most of the people on this site.
And there are churches that would say he was not even your husband, lady.

The only reason her father stayed Republican was his usefulness as someone “IN” the party willing to bash fellow Republicans would be useless if he became a Democrat.

Go for it Cindy - switch parties. Your usefulness to the left will be down around the level Ron Reagan functions at... no one cares much if he bashes the old man anymore... but Chris Matthews still trots him out every now and then.
Unfortunately, for Cindy, the Democrat Party does not exist anymore, except, for Manchin and Trump.
