The partisan federal employee who issued a complaint regarding President Donald Trumps phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a male CIA officer who was previously detailed to work at the White House, according to the New York Times.
According to the Times, the officer, who has since returned to work at the CIA, appears to be an analyst by training and steeped in details of U.S. foreign policy regarding Europe.

Yes there most likely was some trigger in the database that gave the deep state a head up somebody getting hot on their trail
And what about the new CIA director Gina Haspell? So much for honest leadership with integrity.
How about Trump is running this train right on time. Probably set up the coup clowns 1) for treason charges, 2) get the trials going, 3) in order to enter in the court room the years of military intel, 4) to crush the Leftist foreign and domestic enemies plots breaking America.
So proud POTUS, finally, gets the word Treason our there and on the record, this very DAY, and reminds all of the traditional punishment for it!
GAME on. This IS Declass.
Shades of Vallerie Plame ......I don’t care if I lied. You can’t touch me.
Bullshit. This bastard wasn’t close enough to the Trump White House to LEGALLY know anything Trump said to any Ukrainian official.
Prosecute him.
That Fother Mucker should be marched out to the Rose Garden and summarily shot dead...
Who were these CIA attendees? We have a date certain. There is your original leak.
Indeed, this is why the dem "play" is whistleblower protections, this agent STOLE and released inside confidential protected classified info, jail him!!!
This intelligence person should be charged with theft and release of classified information, a crime against the state.
Takes more than wearing a blouse with white hats on it to a DC function, to prove oneself honest and loyal, eh?
Is this yet another so-called insurance policy to tank Trump’s Presidency? How many more are there?

I am looking forward to the day some hacker or Snowden-type releases all the names and personal data of every CIA employee.
I would not want to be this Whistleblower when his name (and, it will soon surface), background & low life, associates that ratted to him from inside the White House. This gent is not a Whistleblower...he is a traitor and so are the White House insiders that betrayed POTUS, Trump!!!
Poor idiot fool will be forced to live undercover for the rest of his life!!!
The timing is curious in itself....and the phoniness of the charge...whatever the charge is....
A traitor to his country and his people. For what ? A phone call to the Ukraine ? It did not even exist 20 years ago.
There has been a great deal of attention in the news regarding the phone call between President Trump and the President of Ukraine. Ordinarily, I would expect that these are the types of conversations that have little interest among the average American. Yet, it now appears that an employee of the CIA (or another Intelligence agency) has filed a complaint using the Whistleblower statute as cover for revealing what they have determined to be improper behavior.
With curiosity, I read both the transcript of the call released by the White House, and the actual complaint filed by the agent. The first thing that struck me was the complaint appeared to be written, very thoroughly, in the form of a legal brief, which seems to me that a lawyer had been consulted. The second thing that I noticed was that all the information was presented with a political spin that did not necessarily reflect my interpretation of the original phone call.
This is beginning to look like the increasing politicization of our government operations has filtered into the Intelligence Community. We've already seen how our Department of Justice has been harmed by the increase of political activity by a few of its agents and administrators. Former FBI executives James Comey and Andrew McCabe were harshly criticized in recent Inspector General reports. Now, it has all the markings that there is partisan activity inside our Intelligence Community.
I'm sure you can see the long term danger of this. While it currently seems to be at the behest of the Democrats, you don't have to go too far to imagine that it could very well go the other way when the leadership changes parties. Politicians generally seem to look only to the next election, so they might not see the dangerous consequences ahead. Imagine a situation where a new president has to completely gut and transform their intelligence community because a deep mistrust. I would not be surprised if President Trump is contemplating such a move now, and who could blame him.
Using classified intelligence as a political weapon from inside the Intelligence Community might be one of the most serious developments in the last twenty years. Someone needs to put the brakes on it immediately. As your role as a sitting member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee, I hope you can address this critical issue.
Out him. He is so eager for his 15 minutes of shame, let him have it. He is of no more worth to the CIA than I am.
This twitter guy guesses the name of the the leaker: Michael Barry.

Given what they have done the past few years to Trump, I'm not sure I would rule out that possibility now.
Read Rush Limbaugh site today. Same people involved as before. Instead of Russia it is Ukraine. Trump refuses to arrest anyone which baffles me. He must think about the future conservative presidents and the country.
Lock up the crooks.
