The anonymous whistleblower who filed a complaint with the intelligence community inspector general, which includes allegations about President Donald Trump's conduct, has tentatively agreed to meet with congressional lawmakers, according to correspondence obtained by CNN. The meeting will take place on the condition that acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire approves appropriate security clearances for the individual's legal counsel so that they can accompany their client, the correspondence showed.

It was Rod Rosenstein who appointed Mueller, not Sessions. And President Trump undermined himself by putting Rosenstein in an untenable position after Comey was fired. Having Rosenstein provide a formal recommendation for Comey's firing, and then doing that stupid interview with Lester Holt a few days later where Trump claimed he was going to fire Comey anyway, put Rosenstein in a position where he had a potential conflict of interest in the matter. This "conflict of interest" is one of the rare cases where a special counsel would be appropriate.
That's not likely to happen this time around, since Barr has no conflict of interest. He has a job to do -- and if that involves investigating a former Vice President of the United States, then so be it.
Time will tell.

The whistleblower complaint over President Trump’s call with Ukraine raises concerns over how the White House handled records of the call with the foreign leader, The New York Times reported Wednesday citing two people briefed on the complaint.
The whistleblower identified multiple White House officials as witnesses to Trump’s alleged misconduct who could corroborate the complaint, according to people who spoke to the Times.
In order for the whistle blower’s attorney to be part of the discussions, he needs to have a security clearance. There’s nothing unusual about that. It’s protocol. But, There’s nothing this WB can add that’s not already on paper anyway.

Yes, clown. The media hasn’t leaked anything other than the same old innuendo, and propaganda. Saying “the whistleblower says that there are concerns about the records” is laughable. Saying that “the IG interviewed witnesses” is also laughable. Of course the IG interviewed people. They also found that the whistleblower had no direct knowledge of the call, and that the whistleblower had political bias.
The transcript is the actual document of the conversation. There isn’t a “there” there no matter how much you wish that there was.
