Critics of President Trump are being accused of moving the goalposts following Wednesday’s release of the transcript of a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that does not show Trump dangling American military aid in return for a Ukrainian probe of Joe Biden.
In pressing forward with a formal impeachment inquiry, Democrats claimed Trump had frozen $400 million in aid to Ukraine to pressure officials into pursuing a Biden investigation. Democratic lawmakers and liberal pundits urged Trump to release the transcript of his controversial call, and he obliged with a CIA-drafted memorandum of the conversation. The document does not show Trump explicitly leveraging military aid as part of a quid pro quo.
But critics cited several concerns -- including that the document did not reflect a "verbatim transcript" and that a related whistleblower complaint still has not been made public.
NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck told Fox News that “the stampede of excuses” surrounding the transcript doesn’t surprise him, as mainstream pundits shift the criteria needed to impeach the president.
“One of the most time-honored traditions in the liberal media is the moving of the goalposts when their adversaries and/or enemies do the very thing they've been asking for,” Houck said.

which is it? Worse or untrue? in any case that is the strategy now .... to cast doubt on the transcript by saying absolutely anything outrageous.

The leftists ‘rats will never be satisfied. They have nothing else. Everything else is a disaster for them. The economy is rolling along nicely, China is actually dealing on trade, Iran is feeling the sanctions, their slate of candidates is a clown show, all/most of what they’ve been actively promoting (freebies) will benefit illegal non-us invaders... So the impeachment snipe hunt is all they have. We’ll hear nothing else unless and until they can come up with something, anything to distract the American people from the fact that the Democrats are full of ****.

This is going to tear the country apart. When one side refuses the truth and only spreads the momentum of hate and fiery rhetoric. I am reading about 1860. Same scenario with the North proclaiming lack of morality and South’s evil institution of slavery (justifiable) as their cause and the South proclaiming the defense of liberty of the States from a Federal Gov’t. As a military officer, I pray for some healing or at least a consensus-leader to emerge for this country.

Someone to slow the rhetoric - and I don’t mean cave in. I mean lead a consensus from both sides who view liberty and freedom number one, not progressivism, socialism or communism. I know a lot of liberals who will not give up their freedoms. Ironic since they don’t understand they are fostering the opposite. Progressives and Socialists - well if they truly understand what they want then they are lost since they do not wish freedom and liberty for our kids.
