I am quite sure Trump is behind this. He’s pulled this thing so often that he knows when and how to work it.

Trump brings a known leaker into the WH, and deliberately starts talking about the conversation with the Ukrainian PM.

He says things like I asked him to go after Biden...really embellishes it...says he’s hold off military funding...etc etc....

The leaker goes to someone, ie the Whistleblower who is probably a gullible female Trump hating reporter like Katy Tur, who takes it hook line and sinker.
