The U.S. military has a growing interest in brain-computer interfaces: sensors that pick up brain signals and electronics that convert them to digital information that can be read by computers...
A group of scientists from several universities has created an unobtrusive brain-computer interface strip that could revolutionize the way humans convert their thoughts into a machine-readable format. A narrow strip affixes to the upper neck, performing the data collection of a traditional EEG cap. The signals are then interpreted by software —aided by machine learning— to produce data that could be used to steer vehicles or operate other computers. The entire system is called SKINTRONICS.

The technique is dependent upon sensing very weak signals.
It may not be sufficiently robust in an environment full of powerful electronic jamming signals.

Sounds great on the surface, but how do you implement a delay to account for human judgement?
Many times, the first thought a human has is not the final and best choice the human can make. Humans have been trained over the milinea to make choices that provide the best outcomes.
If the machines picks up human brain activity, then the first thought (and subsequent thoughts) would direct the machine activity.
The challenge: how do you get the machine to ‘unfire’ and ‘take back’ the bullet after the gun went off?

If something goes wrong in the electronics & there is an “accident” how will it be proven what went wrong? Would an insurance company rule mechanical failure or human failure? Be hard to prove any human intent after the fact, I’d think.

The article states that in order to get a clearer signal they must “Increase the brain signal amplitude via a better skin contact of electrodes” First thing that came to my mind was the Pre-cogs in the liquid pool of the Pre-crime lab of that Tom Cruise movie.....So say a guy is hooked up to an array of militaristic items and the voluptuous female beside him becomes amorous what “joy stick will be operated ?....and OR because we know NO COMPUTER program can be hacked ...what if a guy with a super brain or his electrodes are deeper into the millions of synapse’s within his brain over rides and launches all missles ?>>>>??????
