On Tuesday evening Nancy Pelosi made one of the most colossal blunders in the modern history of American electoral politics. Rejecting the accumulated wisdom of a long and successful career in the House of Representatives, she set aside her own instincts and announced the beginning of formal impeachment proceedings against President Trump on the basis of a third-hand rumor about a phone call with the president of a Eurasian republic.
Pelosi knows this will not be popular. She knows more than that. She knows that it will be a disaster for the Democratic Party, that it will inflame the president's base and inspire even his most lukewarm supporters with a sense of outrage.
She knows that in states like Michigan, upon which her party's chances in 2020 will depend, the question of impeachment does not poll well.
She knows, further, that Joe Biden will not be able to spend the next 14 or so months refusing to answer questions about the activities of his son, Hunter, in Ukraine, and that increased scrutiny of the vice president's record in office will not rebound to his credit. She and her fellow Democratic leaders had better hope that someone like Elizabeth Warren manages to steal the nomination away from him before this defines his candidacy the way that Hillary Clinton's emails and paid speechmaking did during and after the 2016 primaries.
Why? Because her hand has been forced. The same members of her caucus who have clamored for Trump's impeachment on the basis of his immigration policy, his non-existent collusion with Russian authorities during the last presidential election, and his ownership of various hotels have once again lighted upon high crimes and misdemeanors.

If I had a last name of Trump, I would study every nuance of setting up the Trump suit and using it over and over again.
And he knows that to use it frivolously is to lose that edge. So he has become exceptionally good at using it at the right time.
Too bad the DemocRATS and their minions in the Press have not figured this out. It is pure pleasure to watch them bounce like a punching bag they cannot understand.
The Democrats outright lost real voters during the last election over the phony Russia hoax and the dirty illegal coup attempt. They also put the full laundry on display from the media to the point that none of us can ever pretend they are any kind of impartial journalism nor do they do actual investigation more than once in a blue moon. It’s all narrative propaganda all the time.
The end result of them trying to start the whole collusion thing over again with endless investigation and hearings is going to increase the bleeding of support for their party by even more than the last time because some number of registered Democrats will shift from believing their party just had idiots who did something stupid once, to fully understanding their party is fully comprised at the top by liars and scum who do the kinds of things to people you teach your children to never do. The kinds of things where if they’ll do it to Trump, they’ll do it anyone including their own constituents. There may be a lot of people in the world who are actually entirely amoral and live by “say and do anything to get what you want, who cares what happens to others along the way.” But I’d lay odds that at least half of registered Democrats wouldn’t easily go along with that if it was shoved in their face and they had to make a choice on it.
And the irony is that he will be appointing a replacement for Ginsburg, who herself was appointed by Bill Clinton while he was under investigation over Whitewater.

How many times must this type of thing happen before you know how it will end. He has been setting them up like bowling pins since 2015, and keeps scoring 300s. I wish 11/2020 would get here already. I don’t know how much more winning I can stand.

This is a very important fact. The Constitution is very clear tha there must be a vote to initiate impeachment proceedings.
Therefore there is no impeachment, only rumor of impeachment.
This is the Dem party attempting to hoodwink The People for 2020 electoral purposes.
