Nancy Pelosi just made one of the most colossal blunders in modern American politics

On Tuesday evening Nancy Pelosi made one of the most colossal blunders in the modern history of American electoral politics. Rejecting the accumulated wisdom of a long and successful career in the House of Representatives, she set aside her own instincts and announced the beginning of formal impeachment proceedings against President Trump on the basis of a third-hand rumor about a phone call with the president of a Eurasian republic.

Pelosi knows this will not be popular. She knows more than that. She knows that it will be a disaster for the Democratic Party, that it will inflame the president's base and inspire even his most lukewarm supporters with a sense of outrage.

She knows that in states like Michigan, upon which her party's chances in 2020 will depend, the question of impeachment does not poll well.

She knows, further, that Joe Biden will not be able to spend the next 14 or so months refusing to answer questions about the activities of his son, Hunter, in Ukraine, and that increased scrutiny of the vice president's record in office will not rebound to his credit. She and her fellow Democratic leaders had better hope that someone like Elizabeth Warren manages to steal the nomination away from him before this defines his candidacy the way that Hillary Clinton's emails and paid speechmaking did during and after the 2016 primaries.

Why? Because her hand has been forced. The same members of her caucus who have clamored for Trump's impeachment on the basis of his immigration policy, his non-existent collusion with Russian authorities during the last presidential election, and his ownership of various hotels have once again lighted upon high crimes and misdemeanors.

Trump was so mellow, so low-key, sincere and authentic that the D madness suffered mightily in contrast.

Add in the hatefest from the little Swedish troll and Trump’s (insincere) praise of her that could not be refuted by them on its face and Trump, once again, won the day.

Everything the progs do is about branding/anti-branding and Trump, being a master of branding, has been able to upend it every time.

Only a master can successfully break the rules. He’s fortunate that all the progs know is the bulletpoints. They can quote and apply any rule, but they cannot respond to Trump’s torques.

Watching this has been an education on so many levels. Not just the foundational facts, like the ubiquitous nature of The Glob, but the jujitsu Trump employs against them.

Breathtaking and the entire world is spellbound, watching.

Yes, Liz. I think you got it right. Nothing else was working, Rasmussen pegged at 53% approval. And that's after the Squad was attacked. So they figure they've got to try impeachment. Their hard Leftists and Warren/Harris types are demanding it. Pelosi probably figures she'll lose control of her Speakership unless she gives in.

Our POTUS has found the sweet spot with the American public -- radical socialist agenda isn't going to sell.

Recently I've been spending some time exploring Dem Underground. Some observations:

• Maybe only 20 threads a day can attract even 25 comments.

• Fewer sharp minds over there when I compare to our beautiful FR.

• Lots of insults hurled, but not much humor — and very few witty comments.

• Expert opinions and lengthy posts to educate people on a particular topic are missing too.

• TDS is rampant there, too, and I suspect they lost many followers as people got demoralized since Trump is beating the Dems and winning every which way.

Team Obama had been spying on Trump since well before "Fuddy" procured a forged LFBC for Barry.

Team O somehow knew Trump was considering a pounce on Barry's missing LFBC, so Barry--already in 2010--preemptively enticed Neil Abercrombie away from the House to run for HI Governor. (Linda Lingle, the Republican governor at the time held enough of the reins that she could have stymied the planned, fraudulent LFBC procurement; a Dem governor was going to be needed in her place and the decades-long CIA asset, "Fuddy," was just the spook (back from the dead) to get the job done) as the prior Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) Director nominee, Neal Palafox, M.D., was quickly shoved aside with lies about his supposed billing irregularities.

In early spring of 2011, Trump began doing media interviews asking why Barry wasn't showing his BC. Using all manner of CIA assets (e.g., Bauer, Corley, Montgomery, Fuddy, Clapper, Brennan), Barry made a big TV splash on 4/27/2011 as he and Bob Bauer, his first White House Counsel, presented the HDOH forgery on TV (with Savannah Guthrie as a "Vanna White").

As nearly everyone and his brother noticed several ways that showed the LFBC to be a forgery, such discussion needed to be removed from the media, so Barry moved against The Donald at the White House Correspondents' Dinner 4/30/2011 with a Hollywood media presentation intended to humiliate PDJT. The second of the needed 1-2 punch was delivered (in collusion with Barry's CIA/ISI friends) in a sham raid on "OBL's" Pakistani compound.

The fact that DJT had been encouraged as a presidential protégé of RMN was not lost on the Deep State. They intended to crush him and any presidential aspirations he might have.

When the Donald was quick to tweet about CIA-asset "Fuddy's" strange death through a propitious plane crash (vis-à-vis further scrutiny of the origins of Barry's LFBC), Obama's media went after the Donald with all the gravitas they could muster.
