During the global "climate strike" for "environmental justice" by students last Friday, the College Fix commissioned a reporter at St. Olaf College in Minnesota to talk to some of the 1,000 students there who participated.
Many agree with Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez' dire warning that "the world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change."
What are your thoughts on this and what is your plan?
"For all we know it could be sooner than that. We're not entirely sure," replied one student.
"Um, I don't really know. You never know with science," said another.
"I think it's a super-serious statistic and people should recognize that that can be truthful, that we need to enact change as soon as possible to prevent that from happening," another student said.
One student was particularly exercised.
"I'm baffled that we're talking about so many other issues when this is the most pressing," he said. "It affects everyone equally. We're not going to have a life if we don't do something about it right now. So we need to act immediately."
Another said, "Yes, of course, and it's very serious."
He was then asked what he was going to do about it.
"Uh, I mean, coming to strikes like these and really fighting for it," he said.

Why are they in college, if there is no future? They should be at home finding a place to live off the grid when there is no more use of electricity and fossil fuels.

I just want to ask, do they actually know how this climate cataclysm is supposed to happen?
I mean, do they have specifics here?
What exactly is supposed to take place???
Will they need air conditioners in Siberia?
Is that the “end” of the world?
Will they need waders to walk in the streets of Miami?
Is that the end?
Will they need to send rice and grain to Lybia and Chad?
Oh I remember... due to salinity changes, the Atlantic ocean currents will shift and they will have snow in Madrid. But since everyone 800 million people wont die from snowfall in Madrid, we need to invent massive super polar bomb cyclones and instant glaciation. ...and people will still survive at the equator though.

Interesting that not even one climate catastrophist ever mentions China, by far the biggest carbon emitter in the world. They only want America and Europe to take action to wreck their economies. Goes to show yet again that they don’t give a rip about pollution and the environment. It’s all about destroying Western civilization through the accumulation political power.
Or starting families, or planning ahead in any regard. Which of course would make them dependent on govt for the rest of their lives. Which of course is exactly what the Left wants.
