Greta and other kids being used by the left to promote their agenda is always meant to be a trap. Whether or not it is tasteful to criticize her delivery directly or go after her parents kind of misses the point. Greta and other kids are intended to be a distraction. They want people to go to their side because of sympathy for the messenger not through reasoned thought. People who respond to this kind of nonsense typically are not swayed by rational arguments. So I doubt whether it matters a great deal how this is handled.

I get all of that, and that the opposition has little regard for children or the infirm or minorities as long as they further their cause. I also understand that the age of civility isn't upon us (by no fault of our own).

But the age of tactical planning remains in full-swing. We probably score some points on the clever scale for going straight after Greta as we high-five each other. However, we fall right into their trap AND we alienate the centrists who vacillate on global warming and kids as human political shield...not to mention that for many of us, kids (especially those that aren't all there) are off-limits in general.

This kid IS mentally ill. She is perfectly conditioned by handlers to spout her climate nonsense, emotional outbursts included.
