But the EU has no ruling over the UK asking for a delay or cancelling Brexit - the UK holds the cards over those two.
The other countries can say no to an extension, but they need to do so unanimously.
Johnson CANNOT call for an election - read the “First Term parliament act” - he needs to get 2/3rds of the MPs voting for elections and he won’t get that.
You can’t call the ones who oppose Brexit as “screw the people” - remember that 48% voted remain, while 52% voted leave. That was close - no one will be happy with any option, because all of the options - leave, stay, half-in-half-out, all of them “screw a large % of the people”
