President Trump is waging a nonstop, all-encompassing war against progressive culture,
...
There is nothing progressive about progressive culture.
No, he is not.
Perverts are in the ascent.
People are getting genital cosmetic surgery on Medicaid while others get no Medicaid help for asthma.
We’ve got more nutcases than ever before.
I don’t see Hanson’s last sentence coming about. The leftists are going lefter every day with the gas pedal floored. They want destruction and death on a grand scale.
IMHO the way to wage war on progressive (nothing pro-progress about it) culture is to cut the MSM (that is, the journalism cartel) off at the knees. And the way to do that is to successfully sue that cartel not only under the antitrust legislation but for libel. That implies going against a unanimous SCOTUS decision (New York Times Co. v. Sullivan) - but IMHO that is doable. The 1964 Sullivan decision was unanimous, but the Warren Court didnt have Scalia on it - and the 1988 Morrison v. Olson decision woulda been unanimous too, but for Scalias famous dissent. And nobody now thinks Morrison is good law.
Grounds for overturning or sidestepping Sullivan include
- The fact that journalism is a cartel.
- The fact that that cartel has systematically conspired to promote privileges for itself at the expense of the rights of the people. Including the right of the people (even judges are people) to sue for libel when aggressively lied about on an industrial scale on matters not related to their exercise of their public duty.
- The fact that that cartel has systematically promoted cynicism towards society and naiveté towards unlimited government - directly what was not the intention of the founders of the Republic.
- The fact that the FCC allocates the public airwaves on the theory that journalists function systematically to promote the public interest - whereas they merely promote interest on the part of the public for their own ideas (as well as for those of advertisers, by which they make money).
Whereas Alexander Hamilton asserted that
The republican principle demands that the deliberate sense of the community should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs; but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse which the people may receive from the arts of men, who flatter their prejudices to betray their interests.the journalism cartel systematically seeks to inhibit "those to whom [the people] intrust the management of their affairs from resisting such impulses.
Good to see the graveyard has 2 new headstones.
