IMHO the way to wage war on progressive (nothing pro-progress about it) culture is to cut the MSM (that is, the journalism cartel) off at the knees.And the way to do that is to successfully sue that cartel not only under the antitrust legislation but for libel. That implies going against a unanimous SCOTUS decision (New York Times Co. v. Sullivan) - but IMHO that is doable. The 1964 Sullivan decision was unanimous, but the Warren Court didnt have Scalia on it - and the 1988 Morrison v. Olson decision woulda been unanimous too, but for Scalias famous dissent. And nobody now thinks Morrison is good law.
Grounds for overturning or sidestepping Sullivan include
- The fact that journalism is a cartel.
- The fact that that cartel has systematically conspired to promote privileges for itself at the expense of the rights of the people. Including the right of the people (even judges are people) to sue for libel when aggressively lied about on an industrial scale on matters not related to their exercise of their public duty.
- The fact that that cartel has systematically promoted cynicism towards society and naiveté towards unlimited government - directly what was not the intention of the founders of the Republic.
- The fact that the FCC allocates the public airwaves on the theory that journalists function systematically to promote the public interest - whereas they merely promote interest on the part of the public for their own ideas (as well as for those of advertisers, by which they make money).
Whereas Alexander Hamilton asserted that

I employ it regularly for those who criticize too forcefully from the comfort of their living rooms or behind the keyboard on their computer.
The guy out there actually "doing it" deserves our support even if he is not winning.
At least he's out there trying, which is better than most.
