Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) weighed in Thursday on the Republican Senate primary in New Hampshire, endorsing a candidate other than President Trumps former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who Trump has said would make a great senator.
Cruz threw his support behind former New Hampshire House speaker Bill OBrien on a call into a Boston-based radio show, saying he is a principled conservative who knows how to produce results.
Bill OBrien has backbone. He is willing to stand up and do the right thing, Cruz told conservative host Jeff Kuhner on WRKO AM 680. I think he would make a phenomenal senator from New Hampshire.
Cruzs endorsement came two days after Lewandowskis combative appearance before the House Judiciary Committee, which served to bolster his national profile and highlight his fierce loyalty to Trump ahead of an expected announcement next month about a Senate run.

[You may be able to nominate an ineligible as a Republican, but youll never elect one.
Unlike Democrats, we care about the Constitution.]
Everytime I hear anyone butcher his beautiful Polish surname, I cringe. My departed Polish mother must be turning over in her grave. For all of you unaware of Slavic names and culture, it’s pronounced LAY-VUN-DOF-SKEE.
What is wrong with posting this?
Why is it a “disruptor thread” and how is this agitprop?
1. It is news on a number of websites besides WAPO.
2. Lewandowski is at the very least interested—not running yet, but seems to be leaning towards it IMHO.
Don’t you think it is worthwhile news that Cruz is endorsing another candidate right now—even tho he knows Lewandowski is seriously considering a run?
It’s predicated on a false premise and meant to cause animosity among conservatives - agitation and propaganda. Agitprop.
That is the only reason the Washington Post reports a news item of little importance (a Senator endorsing a declared senate candidate of his party in another state).
The mention of Lewandowski us superfluous and nob-sequitur as he is not a candidate. It is mentioned only to rile.
Cruz endorsing other Senate candidates will not be featured in the Washington Post.
Im not going to bash Ted Cruz. I want to see his choice views against Corey’s. If both are 90%+, it would be good choices. If Cruz pick is better, then he should win. A Republican who is voting with Trump 70% of the time is better than a Dem who votes with Trump 0% of the time.
What exactly is the false premise?
Cruz made an endorsement. If he had endorsed Corey, would you feel this is a disruptor thread or agitprop (and yes I know the definition, and this is not agitprop...). I doubt it.
Cruz endorsement was not only mentioned by WAPO, it was also mentioned by a number of media outlets including Fox.
And it is news. You think we should not have news reported that is upsetting? I want to know what our elected “representatives” are doing...whether I like what they are doing or not...
Disruptor? Cruz is the one causing the disruption...Why?
How many other candidates has Cruz endorsed up to this point? I did not find any, but maybe I missed the list. So far he has endorsed one...from New Hampshire.
Interesting timing...Cruz comes out with his endorsement 2 days after Corey L. puts up his website. Corey L., Trump’s most loyal supporter—with Trump from the very beginning...Two days?!?! Sends quite a message...
And if Corey runs, for whom do you think Trump will be pulling?
And Trump endorsed Cruz and pulled him over the finish line over Beto...So Cruz offers big thank-you to President Trump for helping Cruz—by coming out 2 days after Corey puts up website...
So Cruz is the one who has caused a disruption...Had he just not said anything until knowing status of New Hampshire or chose not to endorse if Lewandowski entered the race, then there would be no disruption.
Guess we will have agree to disagree. I like being able to follow the news.
Looks like Lewandowsky will have a tough primary opponent.
Maggie Hassan stole this seat in 2016 by finding out of state college kids to register on Election Day. The Republicans didn’t put up any fight over it. Jean Shaheen and the Dems will pull out every trick in the book to keep this seat. Corey will have to really fight to win it.
False premise is that Lewandowski, who is not a candidate, was an alternative to endorse.
There are three candidates.
Don Bolduc, former U.S. Army brigadier general
Bryant “Corky” Messner, lawyer and former U.S. Army Ranger
Bill O’Brien, former Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives
The Washington Post headline did not say “and it’s not Bolduc” or “and it’s not Messner.
They are in the race.
Ted Who?
Blind loyalty to Perdue...
Again, we disagree—totally.
Have a nice rest of your evening.
LOL wrong thread.
But we agree to disagree on Cruz...
Have a nice evening.
Seems like good old Ted is trying to influence an election outside his state. Tsk tsk. Isn’t that a misdonomer or something.
😁
Cruz will be running for potus in ‘24. Has anyone noticed that the MSM has been giving him free publicity? Every day, there is an article on Cruz. Spit.
Remember that Cruz pushed Roberts forward for the SC. Look at the damage Roberts done.
