Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) weighed in Thursday on the Republican Senate primary in New Hampshire, endorsing a candidate other than President Trumps former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who Trump has said would make a great senator.
Cruz threw his support behind former New Hampshire House speaker Bill OBrien on a call into a Boston-based radio show, saying he is a principled conservative who knows how to produce results.
Bill OBrien has backbone. He is willing to stand up and do the right thing, Cruz told conservative host Jeff Kuhner on WRKO AM 680. I think he would make a phenomenal senator from New Hampshire.
Cruzs endorsement came two days after Lewandowskis combative appearance before the House Judiciary Committee, which served to bolster his national profile and highlight his fierce loyalty to Trump ahead of an expected announcement next month about a Senate run.

Oh hell no.
We’re trying to find a viable replacement in Texas.
Back to Canada.

[So he had to do it right now and just for this guy? ]
The only reason this is coming up is because Lewandowski was a big shot in Trump’s campaign. Senators endorse a lot of people. A good chunk of it is noise, and nobody highlights it. For the NH primary, though, Cruz’s endorsement is the seal of approval for hard right (low tax, strong military, low immigration) voters. Whether this will be decisive for O’Brien is unclear, but it’s definitely a help in a race where he’s up against a general and Trump’s anointed.

Have you thought of throwing your hat in the ring? I’m sure the entire Texas Freeper delegation would vote for you.

Corey has a spine. Is Ted Cruz running? The GOP is still split....even though President Trump has shown how he can lead...this POTUS is so smart and such a patriot...why is Cruz pulling away from a sure thing. I am not sure the coach wouldn’t be eaten alive by Washington D.C. politics.

I have always found it curious that Cruz immediately dropped out the day after being asked about his dads friendship and working association with assassin Oswald.

Obrien and Corey are very good friends. The reason Corey has not announced a run at the position is was waiting on his friends commitment. You will see Corey backing him to the hilt. Sadly I want Corey.

Haters gonna hate...
Lewandowski hasn’t even entered the race yet and if he does he said his announcement would be 1 October.

We crapped all over Romney in 2008. We nominated him in 2012. Nobody knows how 2024 will play out. But he will likely run and perhaps win the nomination.

You may be able to nominate an ineligible as a Republican, but you’ll never elect one.
Unlike Democrats, we care about the Constitution.
