Two swing states narrowly won by President Trump over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016 were the sites of the greatest losses in manufacturing jobs between 2018 and 2019, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department.
The agency's state employment survey found that Wisconsin has lost about 5,200 manufacturing jobs since August of last year. In Pennsylvania, losses of manufacturing jobs topped 7,700, according to the survey.

Wisconsin’s governor took that sign down that said, Wisconsin is open for business.
Automation is part.
Companies are also continuing to offshore just not to China.
Our trade deficit continues to widen.
PA has the lowest unemployment rate since they started keeping records under Trump... Trump is not losing PA.... not even close... He’ll win it by a much larger margin than he did in 16.
Same is true for the rest of the rust belt, at least in terms of Trump winning here.
“...Both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania have Democrat governors....”
It would not be beyond the realm of possibility that both of these communists deliberately stifled growth and jobs just to be able to lay the blame on the POTUS.
Hopefully, some facts to that affect can be found and published.
Everywhere I go in SW Pennsylvania I see help wanted signs. Problem is millennials and younger folk have no work ethic and are stupid.
Yep, and you get outside of the Cities, and you see Trump Support as proud and broad as the eye can see...
Trump is taking this region huge in 2020.... will likely be the only rust belt state that the Dems get... MN will join the rest in 2020
that should read IL will be the only rust belt state Dems will get in 2020
The largest growth sector in PA has been gas and oil. Our Democratic Governor wants it to stop.
> PA has the lowest unemployment rate since they started keeping records under Trump. <
I live in a rust-belt state. And Im seeing Help Wanted signs popping up everywhere. So I guess the unemployment rate is going down in my neck of the woods.
But heres the thing. Those signs are all appearing in front of dollar stores and fast-food joints. The closed factories are still closed. So I would not bet on Trump taking my state this time around.
(Sorry for the pessimism. Im just calling it as I see it.)
The Hill, enough said.
You are probably a journalist at The Hill.

Ha! My writing skills are so weak I dont think I could get a journalism job anywhere. Anyway, I dont know much about The Hill. So before posting, I did a quick scan of the site. They didnt seem too crazy. But if they really are hard left, clue me in.
Governor Cuomo sure has stifled jobs here in NYS with his kabosh on fracking. High paying tech jobs that can serve the local population.
I did a quick look. It seems they are cherry picking from Aug to Aug in one year. It is up in both since Pres. Trump was in office.
Wisconsin ultra-leftist Gov Evers is firmly in the anti-jobs category as opposed to the deposed Gov Walker who was all about getting new business and manufacturing jobs to come to WI.
Wisconsin has lost some jobs and unemployment has risen from 2.8 to 3.2, while government jobs have increased slightly.
Both governors of those States are Demonrats, don’t think for 1 second that they wouldn’t destroy their own State’s Economy and Jobs to hurt Trump. ALL OF THEM WOULD, They don’t give a damn about anything but Money, Hookers and Power.
Harley Davidson has been on a downward trend for 10 years as Millennials can’t afford motorcycles and they are too busy texting their friends.
They should as Paul Ryan why he did nothing for WI while he was Speaker other than attack Republicans.
Oh so they will vote rat to make sure those jobs never come back right? Go away! The people understand that the ONLY way those jobs will come back is by voting Trump.
