Turner, 41, along with his bandmates were on a separate bus and were not injured, according to KCAL. However, the artist and his team are reeling after losing a member of their road family, according to representatives from the musicians publicity department.
The passenger van was leaving the Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles, California, following a concert. The bus was heading to Washington state for another event the following evening when the driver suddenly veered off the road and drove straight toward a 50-foot embankment.

First responders reported that the vehicle was traveling along Highway 46 when it swerved, continuing for around 20 yards before it launched off the edge of the cliff, causing two passengers to be thrown from the bus.
According to The San Luis Obispo Tribune, one of the two passengers, 64-year-old David Turner, died at the scene. David Turner was a monitor engineer and was not related to Josh Turner.

yikes...wonder if the driver had a seizure
seizure or something else?.....I am so paranoid these days...
Hard to guess what happened there but since there were survivors they can probably tell us if the driver said anything before driving off the cliff.
Okay that is some crappy writing there. Turner along with his bandmates was. Or Turner and his bandmates were. And was it a bus or a passenger van? They are not the same thing.
Yeah. How high was the cliff? 5th? 500ft? Makes a difference in survivability. Maybe it was an embankment.
Per other reporting, the driver was a 39 year old male.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. So far, no word on the cause.
I was on a bus on a remote road about 47 years ago and driver had his only working lung collapse as he was about to turn 90 degrees to the left onto another road with a long drop straight ahead of us. Guy sitting behind driver picked him up by armpits swung him out of seat and back out into the aisle....guy sitting to right of driver and behind door swings into drivers seat like monkey in a tree and completes the turn with only slight tire touching over edge for maybe 2 seconds, but he manages to pull it up onto road. We were not able to revive him. Nothing hospital could do for him once we got there. We were told later he only had one functioning lung and it wasn’t very good.
God again saved.
I think this might be the guy....
I assumed it was the Pacific Coast Highway. Where is there a cliff on the 46? Its been a while, but I dont remember a cliff on that road.
Prayers for the injured and departed.
It was the roadies’ bus, not the star’s.
Apologies to all. The 46 is a gorgeous road from PCH to Paso Robles and there ARE several places where there are precipitous drop offs. Not really cliffs, but going over them is a really bad idea. (Brain not working yet...too early)
Mohamed?
Could have been mechanical issue or blown tire
