"Your letter seeks federal dollars for California from hardworking American taxpayers but fails to admit that your State and local policies have played a major role in the current crisis," Sec. Carson wrote in a letter responding to the leaders.

The letter also blames California's sanctuary policies, saying "illegal and inadmissible aliens are increasing housing demand and draining resources," and says the Trump administration is addressing the problem by improving border security to reduce drug use. "The Trump administration is doing its part," Carson writes in the final part of the letter. "California needs to address the obvious local issues within its control to help address this catastrophe. When California has shown that it is willing to make hard and thoughtful choices to address these issues, the Trump Administration stands ready to support its efforts."

Pretty sure, if you cut funding to your “institutions of higher learning” (democrat brainwashing), gender reassignment and abortion funding, school, medical, and housing for illegals, you could scrape up several million $$ to fix a few things.
Until then, screw you!
you crapped where you eat. now sleep in it.
...
That would make them the equivalent of raccoons that’s hilarious
Guarantee you not even half of the Federal aid would go towards that anyway.

That’s a great point. The money would be deemed fungible and re-directed to fund other bureaucratic schemes.
the perfect way for politicos and public servants to graft and grift to steal public money

That’s what government is all about. Keep the money flowing into the trough to pay for corruption, government largess and expansion of the state.
You’re right
Good one...I will use that line somewhere...dont sue me, bro.
Go Ben!
I doubt it’s a coincidence that the cities with the worst homelessness problems are also “sanctuary” cities.
Well, that certainly is going to leave a mark. As a good friend of mine, now departed from this earth, often said, “I don’t think I would slam a door that hard.”
Just give us money.
Great response by Secretary Carson
PDJT has some great people doing what's right.
Best President EVAH
4 more years.
That letter is, indeed, terrific.
Y’all need to read it.
It’s your Mess ,you clean it up
It is mental illness and drugs causing homelessness. Those zombies ( and that is what I call them) would not be able to live in a house. The fault lies with California, Washington and Oregon whose lax police enforcement on homelessness gave the zombies a green light to move west from states that do not tolerate that nonsense. I am fighting that here, in my town in WA. Every time I see a zombie in my town, I call the mayor. I go to the stores that they sit in front of and complain. The goal is to make them feel unwelcome, so they move on. Politicians in liberal states by lax policies allowed the invasion. I hope Trump goes after WA state, too.
Free needles but ban straws. This tells you all you need to know about their ability to fix this problem.
Get money from the loud mouthed, greedy, polluting, decadent movie industrial complex California...you know how you like to tax the rich. And double that on any remakes because there is little originality coming out of there these days.
#56 — Post of the Week!
Good one teeman...
YES...the letter IS GREAT...it’s logical and full of common sense, something we haven’t seen in a long while.
