You talk as if Hillary running for President and being under indictment are two mutually exclusive scenarios

They are not.

We live in a bitterly divided society where one side thinks Hillary committed treason and sold out our country for power and money.

The other side is pretty much incapable of critical thought and has been brainwashed into thinking people like Hillary and Obama are enlightened leaders trying to save the planet and change the world to some nebulous Progressive and cosmically better social order. The have also been brainwashed into bitterly hating those who disagree and oppose the Progressive agenda

These people totally agree with and endorse everything Hillary has done and stands for and would lbs happy to vote for her. Either that, or they will personally benefit if she gets in office so they could care less.

None of the Democrat Presidential candidates are electable and that is by design . The Democrats base has become so insane that any politician who appeals to them enough to get nominated is totally unelectable in the general election

The scam is to pay these stalking horses to inflame and motivate the Democrat base while protecting the person who will emerge as the “moderate and sober” compromise at the Democrat Convention from having to destroy their electability in the general election by going on record saying crazy things and taking the insane positions necessary for appealing to the Democrats radical base.

This was the same approach Hillary took in 2016 and Bernie Sanders was the supposedly unelectable Stalking Horse that would allow Hillary to look like the sane, moderate voice of reason. This backfired in epic fashion as Hillary made her fatal error and finally underestimated the stupidity of her Democrat base. Crazy Bernie got traction with the younger generation of mindless, brain washed Obama generation and destroyed Hillary’s election

The Democrats are using the same strategy this time around, just using 20 stalking horses spouting even more crazy political slogans to fire up their base. The huge number if them prevents any single candidate from getting traction and building enough of a critical mass of support to win the nomination

The person who comes into the convention to save the day will not have the baggage of having to take unelectable positions to appeal to the Democrats lunatic base nor will that candidate be tainted with the bitter animosity of the Democrat base like Hillary was with angry Bernie Bots who refused to bite for Hillary, just like the pissed off Hillary PUMAs who refused to support Barak Obama in 2008

The real race for the 2020 Democratic nomination is with the real poayer jostling with the power brokers the scenes to determine who will be “ sane and moderate” savior at the Democrat convention

Yes.

There is a name for it: “ Utopian Liberal Fascism”

And a great article with historical analysis on how it works, a great read:

“Barack Obama: The Quintessential Liberal Fascist “

I don't think it is possible for someone outside the field of candidates to be nominated at the convention. By the time the of the convention, I can't imagine more than 2 or 3 candidates left. The nominee would be one of those. I don't think the rules would permit them to nominate someone else. If something happens to a candidate after the convention, the executive committee would make the selection.
