Then provide Saudi Arabia with sufficient weapons to shut down Iran's oil production (if they don't already have that capability).

The Saudis' main problem is lack of competent military personnel (numbers and quality). Weapons - heck, some years they've been the #3 defense spender on the planet.

Maybe they should hire the South Koreans - I'll bet the South Koreans ARE competent and would enjoy the practice.

Anyway, it would be more effective to take out Iran's refineries and refined product import terminals. Storage facilities too. If repaired, hit 'em again.

This leaves Iranian crude on the market and reduces demand for refined products, globally, as Iran chokes. Win-win.

Saudi Arabia has 50 M270 MRLS systems. They should move half of them to Khafi which is only about 80 miles from Kharg Island. Send a full load from each, to be followed up with a large number of AH64D Apache attack helicopters to mop up, and/or advise if another M270 salvo is needed.

Have a few of their F-15's flying top cover for the choppers. All other Fighters on alert to scramble in case the Iranians don't get the point. All patriot batteries on high alert too.

We could provide targeting intel and resupply, but no other involvement.
