A teacher at Carter-Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, has been fired after tweeting about enforcing United States immigration laws by deporting illegal aliens.
The Fort Worth ISD board fired high school teacher Georgia Clark on Tuesday after unanimously voting 8-0 at a specially called meeting, according to a report by FOX 4 News.
The high school teacher was first suspended earlier this year after tweeting at President Donald Trump to remove the illegals from Fort Worth. Clark was officially terminated on Tuesday after an investigation into the teachers tweets supporting the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws had concluded.
Ten people came forward most of whom wanted Clark fired and spoke in front of the school board on Tuesday night before the vote.

were i one of the people in that school district, i would campaign against the stupidity of having schoolboard members who don’t realize when such decisions will result in lawsuits that can’t be won...thus costing the district money that comes out of the tax payers wallets. 8-0 means that whole board needs to be replaced.

Assuming this is a public school, I’d assume this is a clear-cut violation of his first amendment rights.
1. Teacher petitions his government to do something.
2. Government agency (ie school) exacts retribution and punishment on teacher for such a petition.
Isn’t that PRECISELY what the first amendment was created to protect?

Honestly...this was pretty stupid on her part. She's a teacher, and publicly calling for the deportation of some students in her class is just dumb. If she wants to make an anonymous tip, fine.
The reality is that due to one of the worst decisions in Supreme Court history, children who are here illegally are constitutionally entitled to a free public education, so she's barking up the wrong tree anyway.

The rest of the “teachers” just sit on their @$$es whining about their classes being too big. One of them tries to put American kids first and wants something done to solve the problem and gets fired for it. I knew this was going to happen once the politicians legalized “medical” marijuana for “recreational purposes” and then “taxed the hell out of it.”

Probably. And if this were a private school, or a private business, I'd think they'd be able to fire her for being dumb or for whatever reason they choose.
But since this is a public school (I think), wouldn't that technically constitute an arm of the government? So wouldn't her asking the government to do something and then having her job taken away by that government constitute a blatant violation of her first amendment?
Isn't part of the first amendment designed to allow citizens to petition and/or criticize their government without fear of retribution?

This happened in Texas? When Texas goes Blue, the republicans can forget about ever winning the presidency ever again. It may happen in 2020 - we shall see
