The series — streaming from Netflix October 2 — aims to both “illuminate and humanize the complex U.S. immigration system.” Variety added that it shows the “struggles many must endure in their quest to pursue the American dream.” Yes, it’s a dangerous and hard crime to commit. Maybe if we see how hard these folks work at making illegal crossings, risking their kids with potential human traffickers, among other crimes, we will sympathize better.
Gomez herself demands that we change our thinking on "immigrants." She claimed that the reason she “chose to produce this series” was that “the word immigrant has seemingly become a negative word.” Oh, sure, because this has always been about hatred for immigrants in general. But please, lie that conservatives hate all law-abiding immigrants in order to sour any of their policy proposals on the issue.
Gomez added, “My hope is that the series can shed light on what it’s like to live in this country as an undocumented immigrant firsthand, from the courageous people who have chosen to share their stories.”

They did that by conflating illegal aliens with immigrants.
I never use the word immigrant when talking about illegal aliens, it’s insulting to immigrants.
This will no doubt be as unbiased a piece of documentary journalism as “Triumph of the Will.”
Up to now, I was kind of a fan of Selena, and thought her pretty smart to not get involved in politics and racial issues.
No longer.
I’ve felt great since I discontinued Netflix.

Even taking the politics out, a story about drug dealers and gang members on the border would be a heck of a lot more interesting to watch than someone who makes it across the border to clean rooms at a hotel. For this reason alone it will be a gigantic failure.
Build the wall and deport the invaders.

Me to. The problem with them is their original stuff is hot or miss, more miss than anything. With more streaming services coming on line Netflix will have a lot of competition and will have to rely more on original content as other content will be on the other services.
I may end hopping around some to to see the offerings are, can’t take all of them and I don’t want to.
How come Americans who simply want their neighborhoods to resemble the country that they grew up in never get their own Emotional Docu-Series?

Actually the term is “Illegal Alien”, not “Illegal Immigrant”.
The Left has created a newspeak term that destroys the idea of immigrating legally to conform to the norms of a country.
the Left omits the term “Alien” (belonging to a foreign country or nation.......a foreigner, especially one who is not a naturalized citizen of the country where they are living), and add substitute the word “Immigrant” (settler).
Immigrants per the US Citizenship Immigration Services definition must:
Support and defend the Constitution.
Stay informed of the issues affecting your community.
Participate in the democratic process.
Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws.
Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others.
Participate in your local community.
Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to federal, state, and local authorities.
Serve on a jury when called upon.
Defend the country if the need should arise.
Important: Once they enter the US illegally they are immediately in violation with the third item on the list.

Hondurans that can pay $5,000 to a smuggler don’t deserve our sympathy.
We have many American citizens that can’t even pay $100 to see a doctor.
That $5,000 can buy a nail gun and air compressor, or a paint gun and air compressor. And a rechargeable circular saw and a rechargeable drill. And probably buy a car that runs too. I’m sure they could pool $10,000 and get a fairly nice used pickup truck.
These Honduran invaders are not poor. We should not let them steal the jobs and futures of American citizens who are struggling.
Hondurans can lay bricks, stone and blocks just as efficiently in Honduras as they could here. They can frame houses just as fast down there.
As a low income American, I have no sympathy for Central American invaders and never will.
If Senators Graham and Rubio think they are too well off, they can donate their excess funds to a food bank in Miami or DC, or send their excess funds to me, a Florida voter.

She’s probably a Leftist brain dead dolt, but I still see it as the Leftists capitalizing on an uninformed clueless person, ripe for being exploited at the expense of our nation. We have very reasoned immigration policies.
Is she capable of grasping that allowing Mexican nationals to flood our nation, is racist against all the other nationalities around the world that would like to come here, but can’t in the same numbers?
Probably? She was indoc’d early as a Disneyite so there is that. Would Walt be turning in his grave? I don’t know.
