yup- I’ve seen folks who were accountants not be able to add- at first it was just a couple mistakes, then it became pretty bad- and one lady who knitted all her life- just kept making mistakes- until someone finally had to take her to get checked out- sure enough- it was alzheimers-

Never mind about what it is called. I’ve never seen a motor made like that before though. Would make great cat toy.

Not sure what it’s called. All I can find is this source for the gif, but not the page where it is referenced.

Here is a Youtube video though on simple motors, though.

lol- did you find them there? Or remember they were there?

I have memory issues- so i must take my key out of car and straight into key box every single time- no exceptions- had to make it a routine- or else i will lose them- I also have to take them out of car every single time when i go into store or something otherwise i forget and close door and doors autolock lol (but i do carry a spare)

I can think about something i need to do as I’m heading to the door- and by the time i get to door- it’s gone- at least till i get back home and think “Oh yeah, I gotta get the mail-” But the reason i forget it my mind goes a millions miles an hour- and i think of 3 different things as I’m heading towards the door- and i forget the main reason for going out in the first place- it’s pretty frustrating-

I’ve had to become routine oriented- and write lots of notes which i misplace of course-

[[I will usually remember that I asked the question and that I got an answer, I just don’t remember the answer, which is more a symptom of just not paying attention.]]

Yup and it’s things like this which have people worried they might be getting alzheimers- but as you point out, it’s more from just not paying close attention- or having a tired mind or something- Alzheimers is just such a horrible thing it’s got a lot of folks scared they may be getting it when they are, as you say- just not as attentive as they used to be-

interesting note about the peanut butter

Early research was misguided and had amperage problems.

There may never be a cure. As the article pointed out companies have invested billions of dollars into dry holes. Drug companies have to justify the risks they take to shareholders.

Were I a board member of a pharmaceutical I would conclude the chances were too great that 1) Price controls would make the risk too great for the possible return, or 2) Public outcry at the price of the drug would cause the patent to be taken over by the government. (This company is profiteering at the expense of millions of Alzheimer's sufferers, etc)

Ultimately, the successes have to pay for themselves, plus the failures.

But the good news is...hey, already invented drugs will be cheaper.

Thanks. I was poking around them last night. Some cool little things. Didn’t find one to make a cat toy out of though.

“Hope this pans out. One never knows.”

My guess is that if it does pan out, like every other major medical breakthrough, we’ll never hear about it again.

Yes I conducted experiments with Univ. of California researchers in 1990`s. We found houses that were electrically `hotter` than others. The electrical fields inside the houses were all different. We also found out that if someone lives in the house, his electrical field is weaker than someone who does not live in the house. All kinds of weird `n things. We tested dozens of houses from Oakland to San Jose.
