A weekend drone attack on Saudi Arabia that cut into global energy supplies and halved the kingdoms oil production threatened Sunday to fuel a regional crisis, as the U.S. released new evidence to back up its allegation that Iran was responsible for the assault amid heightened tensions over Tehrans collapsing nuclear deal.
President Donald Trump said the U.S. had reason to believe it knew who was behind the attack his secretary of state had blamed Iran the previous day and assured his Twitter followers that we are ... locked and loaded depending on verification and were waiting to hear from the Saudis as to who they believe was behind the attack and under what terms we would proceed!

This is very dangerous thinking.
Those drones that attacked the SA oilfield were not made in Fred Flintstone's garage. And, the uranium enrichment is going to get them weapons grade material soon, if it hasn't already.
The silence of the Democrats in all this is deafening. I havent even seen a single reference to U.S. Middle East affairs in any of the reports Ive read about the Democratic debates.
“then why have we imposed an embargo on Iranian oil?”
Because there’s enough oil being produced that we can consider other interests, one of which is to ensure all other producers get to ship to market.
And another of which is to starve the Iranian Regime in a effort to thwart their nuke ambitions.
“If youre reduced to suggesting that President Trump should follow Jimmy Carters lead, then you may as well start planning Joe Bidens inauguration.”
I don’t have to suggest anything. The die is cast.
They’re gonna do what they’re gonna do.
Its all part of the protection racket. The Saudi monarchy writes their oil contracts with other countries in US dollars so that the other countries have to buy up lots of dollars in order to fulfill their contracts, and the US in turn looks after the security of the Saudi monarchy.
If the Saudis should start writing some of their contracts in Chinese currency or Euros, this would have a big influence on US influence on financial markets throughout the world.
Im still waiting for the reports of Iranian soldiers storming the refinery and removing newborn babies from their incubators and leaving them to die ... or some sh!t like that. :-P
This raises the price of oil even more for no obvious benefit.

Maybe all the dog and pony show is just a part of this plan?
The people who know how to take out Saudi oil production facilities with precision know how to strike American bases & ships in the region with precision. US Patriot missiles don’t work against cruise missiles. Nor does anything else that the US can deploy there anytime soon.
I have been perusing the various comments on this thread and sat back contemplating them. Let me say I have empathy, a great deal in-fact towards the F it let the locals deal with this.
I also realize that oil is a Global Commodity. And, the US Navies mission, besides the defense of our country, post WWII is, and has been, the free flow of commerce worldwide. There is no other force on earth capable of ensuring this.
And, given the fact that Iran, since the 1970’s, is responsible for more deaths of Americans than any other country on earth I believe it is long past time we took care of business with that country.
My position is, that the US should lead a multi-National attack on Iran. Our partners should be Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Israel, etc... We participate in air power/missile missions. The US and Israel provide intelligence and the other local countries provide whatever ground forces are necessary with US Special Forces support but, no US siege and occupation level Army support.
The Iranian nuisance must once and for all be eliminated. With Extreme Prejudice.

My thoughts exactly.
Please stop and think before posting this globalist nonsense.
That attitude is exactly how you end up living in a country that pisses away trillions of dollars in Third World dumps all over the globe while sitting back and doing nothing to stop an invasion of Latin American peasants here at home.
I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 to put an end to that sh!t.
Why give advanced warning. If you’re going to attack, why give up the element of surprise. If you don’t attack, you look like a fool.
Alberta’s Child, I did to. No more Nation Building. However, I am not a head in the sand never ever under any circumstances no military action or involvement unless we are under direct threat of invasion. I am not an isolationist.
Iran is in dire need of a severe beat down. Devastation level. And, we should be a part of that because of all the American deaths they are responsible for.
I have empathy with the No Don’t get Involved people but, I have MORE empathy with the families of all the Dead Americans Iran is responsible for.
Your Globalist labeling of my opinion is what I would expect from a Liberal. Mindless name calling with no substance behind it at all. Freepers should be above that crap.
The second paragraph of the article looks bizarre when you read it closely. The U.S. thinks we know who was responsible for the attack, and were waiting for the Saudis to tell us who THEY think was responsible for it? Huh?
How many American deaths would Iran be responsible for if the U.S. wasnt meddling in the affairs of all these dysfunctional countries all over the world?
Wish that were true, SA laughs at our willingness to do the dirty deeds.. but then again we just supplied SA w a buncha high tech defense a couple months ago, iirc.
Maybe trump is smart enough to not be provoked here. He has scored better than our other presidents on staying out.
P.S. I didnt call you any names. The opinion you presented is exactly what I would expect to hear from a globalist.
And without Bolton at the helm.
I have been waiting some 40 years for Iran to be attacked.
They get away with killing Americans and will soon have nuclear weapons.
