Deborah Ramirez had the grades to go to Yale in 1983. But she wasn’t prepared for what she’d find there.

She and some classmates had been drinking heavily when, she says, a freshman named Brett Kavanaugh pulled down his pants and thrust his penis at her, prompting her to swat it away and inadvertently touch it. Some of the onlookers, who had been passing around a fake penis earlier in the evening, laughed.

I am convinced that a LOT of women who go to deep therapy end up having some of their fantasys become real in their own mind. First hand experience talking here now. A lot of latent memories that people don’t talk about, and then after 40 years it all comes back to them, needs to be contested. Living in Boulder Colorado, with all kinds of drugs she probably got some wires crossed.
I do NOT believe this FANTASY TALE about the “poor”/”innocent”/VERY Catholic school girl act at all! And especially from a girl who was supposedly 18 in 1983!

We must believe everything printed by the New York Times is true. We must believe everything asserted happened. There can be no doubting. There can be no doubting that Kavanaugh pulled down his pants and thrust his penis. Doubting is not allowed. So, all responses must be presented with the knowledge that Kavanaugh did in fact thrust said penis.

I kind of like the typo, Public vs. Pubic. It implies a kind of dignity absent from the predictable shameful past we all had to endure.
This is an old story which failed during his confirmation. As I recall she couldn’t remember a lot of this incident and wasn’t sure what really happened. I think she was asking others if they remember, and they said no.
The saddest thing is this claim that her drunken incident in school ruined her life, and her belief that a drunk frat boy exposing himself mattered because it showed she wasn’t “smart”. Very sad but on that occasion getting pass out drunk she was in fact not being smart.
