Joy Behar compares Trump presidency to George Orwell's '1984'

"View" co-host Joy Behar invoked George Orwell's iconic novel "1984" while discussing the Trump presidency with author Stephen King.

While promoting his new novel, "The Institute," on Wednesday, King began by explaining the plot, which involves "defenseless children" with supernatural abilities who are "locked up" by a mysterious organization. He talked about how his story connects to current events.

"When I started writing this book, I just wanted to write a story about defenseless children who were locked up and had to kind of band together in order to fight these cruel adults that are performing tests on them," King said. "I was thinking a little bit about the CIA experiments in the early '50s and I was also thinking about the horrible experiments that were performed on people in the camps during World War II."

Excellent, Joy. Always accuse the other team of what you and your group are, in fact, actually doing. Excellent.

I'll bet Behar never read 1984 - nor any novel that didn't have numerous dirty parts.

What better example of King's plot than the abortion of helpless children. Funny how he misses this. We must fight for them.

It is the left with their Ministry of Propaganda and their search engine memory hole, reimagining of history and rejection of simple biology that is emulating 1984.

How could he write this story and remain deaf, dumb, and blind to the hundreds of millions of children who have been killed and continue to be slaughtered each and every day throughout the world? Why did he not write that story? The drivel he wrote is political nonsense.

If her and her ilk keep it up we’ll give them something like 1930s Stalinism.

If she had the wit to understand 1984 she would know that President Trump is preventing America's descent into Orwell's nightmare.

What an ignoramous. Big Brother is the head of INGSOC, which Orwell explicitly says stands for “English Socialism.” It’s her side that personifies 1984’s dystopia, as Orwell (a former hard leftist himself) very well knew.

The only plus side to imbeciles like Behar misusing 1984 in laughable ways is that maybe more leftists will read it, recognize themselves in it, and realize how horrifying and oppressive leftist societies become.

True. It's just another example of the Rat habit of accusing conservatives of doing what they're doing themselves. Orwell saw socialism/communism clearly. With socialist control he said: “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.”

That’s because Behar’s world view is akin to Nazism. A serious mental defect commonly known as TDS.
