I'm not sure everyone is a candidate for implants. I asked my dentist about an implant for one molar I had lost in my younger days, and he told me there probably wasn't enough good bone remaining to hold it. Of course, techniques probably have improved since then.
They have ways to build up the bone now.
I think his brain is an implant. It was taken from a goose donor.
I had an implant done after a surgical procedure in my mouth. They had to insert transplanted jaw bone material as a graft. That took something like 3 months to take. Then they drilled in the post. Another month. Then I finally got the tooth.
The last time I got one, the dentist printed it from a scan of my tooth. Put in the post. And glued it in. Two hours, tops.
The advances are amazing.
