It would make a fine battlefield weapon. Full auto is pretty much a hindrance to effective infantry.
I listened to his rant tonight. He talked about AR-15’s being evil. He talked about the victims in the Texas mass shooting and how no one should have AR-15s, much less armor piercing rounds.
I have to thank Beto though. He made me understand why powerful liberals hate guns. They don’t hate guns because they feel sympatht for victims. They’re simply afraid those guns will be used on them. They have guilty consciences over all they take from us.
So a weapon purchased during the Clinton assault weapons ban period is not an assault weapon - because it couldn’t have a bayonet lug, flash hider, folding stock etc..
How about just taking a few bullets instead?
I suspect these debates are a sideshow with the main act unbilled. We will meet the star when the dogs and ponies are all tuckered out.

These are the rants of a wealthy “Trust fund” baby who never saw the inside of real life for 95% of Americans. I seriously doubt that he could pass a test for citizenship in this country due to the lack of learning about our nation, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Mr. Beto does not realize that when he takes the First and Second Amendment away from the majority of Americans, he will also lose his rights because his Revolution will not be for just us. I can hardly stand to watch his ignorance displayed. His narcissism, his feeling of entitlement, the boredom he has felt in his privileged life where he made no real contribution to anything that could not be bought with money, is just so disgusting, I cannot even find the words to describe it.
Beano O’Dork should stick to his fantasy of running over imaginary little kids in his car. That was just sick fiction but it shows the way he thinks.
This new fantasy will get a lot of real people killed if people like him get into power.

A Republican state lawmaker from Texas has caused outcry for tweeting “My AR is ready for you Robert Francis” after Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke pledged to ban and confiscate AR-15 military-style rifles.
Within hours, Twitter took down Briscoe Cain’s post, which O’Rourke’s campaign labeled a “death threat”. “It violates our rules for threats of violence,” a company spokesperson said late Thursday night.
Earlier, Cain, a 34-year-old “conservative Republican” lawyer who represents a district outside of Houston, Texas, had mocked Twitter users who called his comment a threat of violence. “You’re an idiot,” he told one commenter. When O’Rourke called the tweet a death threat, and said it proved that neither Cain nor anyone else should own an AR-15, Cain responded, “You’re a child, Robert Francis.”
