The cheerleader who buried her baby in her backyard after giving birth in secret was found not guilty of murder, manslaughter and child endangerment on Thursday.
Skylar Richardson, 20, had been facing life in prison if convicted of all the charges.
They included aggravated murder, manslaughter, gross abuse of a corpse and child endangerment. She has also been charged with tampering with evidence but the judge removed that count during the trial.
But after deliberating for around three hours on Thursday, a jury found her not guilty of the most serious charges.

She will forever be troubled by what she has done, jail time or not. That is presuming she has a conscience, unlike certain politicians, proud abortionists, and perverse theologians.

I hate to say it, but this is a tough case when the standard is finding guilt “beyond a reasonable doubt.” Preponderance of evidence, yes - but that’s not the standard here.
End of the day, she’ll have to live with whatever really happened the rest of her life.
Why would they find her guilty? They celebrate infanticide!!!
She knew she was pregnant and in the third trimester and took birth control pills to force an abortion.
Not sure what Ohio’s law is on this but it sounds like, legally, the jury rendered a proper judgement.
Morally? Ethically? This woman and her family are f’d up.
This jury is MORE SICK than she is.

How is this case any different from what Emile Weaver did? She’s serving a life sentence. That case was also in Ohio.

That’s a pretty big assumption. Reading the article, it’s clear to me that she is a psychopath. Right after delivering her baby she took a selfie of her stomach and how excited she was that she got her tummy back. She’s as cold blooded as a rattlesnake.
Eventually she will end up in prison. She got away with murder this time because she was cute.
I don’t wish harm on anyone, but this country is in serious need of that fatherly discipline the Bible talks about.
In this case the mother claimed the baby was still-born.
I don’t believe it but how can anyone dispute it legally if all you have is baby bones?

Agree - it’s kind of hypocritical to punish her, when virtually the entire Democrat Party is good with doing the same.
And the ENTIRE Democrat Party, without exception, is good with killing the kid the day before it would have been born.
She won’t give a second thought to what she has done, babies in today’s society mean NOTHING!!!
I agree. Considering that the mother was actively anorexic, received no prenatal care and gave birth two months prematurely there is reasonable doubt that the baby was born alive.
Very messed up family.
