Since the ultra left governments of Los Angeles and San Francisco can't bring themselves to do what's necessary to address the crisis of homelessness in California, the Trump administration may end up doing it for them.
The White House is reportedly looking to become more actively involved in homeless crisis in California.
Speaking at a Politico event Monday evening in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's chief of state Breelyn Pete said a very large delegation from the Trump Administration was in town for a scheduled meeting on homelessness, according to Politico.
The delegation which reportedly includes White House, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Domestic Policy Council officials are expected to hold talks with the mayors office, Politico reported.
Pete reportedly told the crowd at the United Talent Agency event that talks will focus on homelessness and sanitation deployment and Skid Row engagement.
Incredibly, typhus a medieval disease almost completely eliminated when U.S. cities started to pay attention to basic sanitation has made a comeback in California and has reached epidemic status.
Other diseases making a comeback in California.
Despite hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through Los Angeles to stem the rising tide of homelessness, a resurgence of medieval diseases has the city and neighboring states on edge. Typhoid fever and typhus, borne by fleas, body lice, and feces, are turning the once glitzy and glamorous city into a third-world worthy environment.

1) Get the illegal immigrants out of legitimate housing, so that American citizens have more housing options.
2) Round up the homeless and check to see if they are illegal — immediately deport those who are.
Send them to belgium, france, and germany
If Trump thinks he’s fishing for California votes in 2020, he’s wasting time. And, it’s not a federal issue.
Too premature. He needs to wait it out. Let California stew in this mess a while longer.
RE: And, its not a federal issue.
If the disease from the homeless as described in the article starts to spread to other states, it becomes a federal issue.
Correct.
CA needs to feel the pain of bone-headed far left policies from its bone-headed far left politicians.
Then maybe it will see the light and turn back to American — and not liberal.
Ask yourself....how does the illegal find the job, balance the income, and pay for legit housing?
Over and over, for the past year....lot of chatter about mentally unbalanced people on the streets there, and drug-users. It’s time to find judges to quarantine both groups out in some fenced and secure compound, and get a handle on the idea if they can ever walk free.
God Bless Pres Trump
This is an American crisis and state officials are incompetent
You appear to assume no housing subsidy. I'd question that assumption.
If State officials want to challenge the authority of the Feds to deal with this crisis, then at very least the spotlight will be on them to take action
Under court order if necessary
Trump is turning the screws on All these lib politicians wailing about human rights issues on the border while turning a blind eye to their own districts..
I thought this too. At first. But consider....
1. Typhus and other communicable diseases could spread to the rest of the US. California could infect the rest of the country. We should quarantine that state. Refuse to permit anyone from leaving it. Unless and until they provide a clean Bill of Health.
2. Trump is pissing off elected officials in California who are too freaking stupid (or afraid) to acknowlege the problems their socialism has created. And this is his way of giving them the Finger.
I always said that should’ve been Trump’s first trade deal: our illegals for UK’s Brexiteers.
State issue not federal.
For a lot of the drug-crowd in San Francisco....even if they got some housing subsidy...housing owners aren’t going to rent to these folks, and would prefer the illegal guy over the druggie. You see the same issue starting up in the south now.

RE: State issue not federal.
Again, if the diseases described in the article start to spread to other states then it becomes a federal issue.
It’s a Federal issue now because the state is incapable and a full-blown plague is coming.
