Wow, did not even know FR was around in 01. As mentioned in another thread, I was on active duty from 99-03. After my duty hours were up, I spend most of the night surfing Drudge and the various MSM sites.

Ironically, I had been keeping up with these sort of things going on in the middle east and had talked to Mrs. rktman about it. While it was happening on TV she mentioned to a gal that worked for her that it was probably obl that was behind it and the gal looked at her with one of those “Who the hell is that?” kind of looks. Most people were clueless and sadly still are about the evil that is out there. Admittedly some of my info had been gleaned from SOF magazine years ago.

Numbers are squishy for that kind of history. It's possible Islam is up there with communists. But I've not seen a couple-hundred-million number attached to Islamic conquests while even liberal historians agree on that number for communists.

Yup. A coworker was activated and my niece was there. She was active duty army with a 28 years of service. Oldest grand-daughter went in 2008 time frame IIRC.

There absolutely was a country that benefitted from the US response to 9-11.
Some of the shortest, most simple questions do not occur to people.
The second plane hit at 9:03. Just under six minutes later, OBL’s name was mentioned by HalfIrish (who is still active on FR) as the likely culprit. There is a whole lot of expertise on FR, and this was one of the many occasion on which that stood out.
I can’t believe you are blaming 9-11 on Israel.
I don’t need to read or hear anything else about that theory.
