Ivanka & Jared 'Aren't Good People,' Meghan McCain Says After Report of Trump Infighting

The Atlantic on Monday published a lengthy account of the Trump family’s rise, political aspirations and, allegedly, the infighting between Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. including suspicions of planted stories about the other.

That reporting has been enthusiastically denied by the White House, where Ivanka works as a senior aide to her dad, President Donald Trump.

Discussing the story on Tuesday’s episode of The View, however, co-host Meghan McCain said she trusted what it showed, calling it “illuminating.” But she said she wasn’t as moved to empathy about the family as co-host Abby Huntsman.

“I found myself feeling sorry for the kids at different moments,” Huntsman said of Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump, who were partially raised in a tabloid swirl of their father’s own making.

“No offense, they crashed my dad’s funeral. They get nothing from me,” McCain cut in, referring to when Ivanka and Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, attended Sen. John McCain‘s memorial last year.

President Trump was excluded from the funeral after a long history of denigrating Sen. McCain, which continued after he died.

“They’re not good people,” Meghan said on The View.

Miss Piggy seems to forget how Daddy treated his poor first wife. And she has the gall to say others are not ‘good people’? Your father was a scumbag, pos, traitor and most definitely not a good person.

By definition, one cannot “crash” a memorial service that is open to the general public without qualification. Done with good grace, attending the memorial service of an adversary or a person one dislikes or has been at odds with is a sign of respect.

Gilda Radner on SNL had a good descriptive word for her: “BITCH”.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Sometimes, the pot and the kettle actually ARE both black. Hitler and Stalin eventually hated each other and went to war ... that doesn't make either of them good.

The View needs to change its name to The Wide View

May "The Wide Load View"?!!!!

If they ever told the women on the "Wide Load View" to haul ass, they'd have to make several trips!

Another point is that the Catholic approach to dying calls for one to forgive enemies, as Jesus Christ did when he was crucified (”Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”) Although Catholic, John McCain seems to have missed that obligation. For an understanding and genuinely faithful Catholic, it is disconcerting that daughter Meghan McCain has taken up her father’s angry grudge against Donald Trump as if it is a treasured family heirloom.

Actually, Hitler and Stalin got on rather well after the signing of the 1939 non-aggression pact. They agreed on the partitioning of conquered Poland, the Soviets shipped lots of ore & materiel to the Third Reich, etc.

Stalin was absolutely gobsmacked when the Nazis invaded the USSR, and felt a keen sense of betrayal. How could his colleague Adolf do such a thing?

Stalin was trying to avoid an provocations until 1943, when he felt the Red Army was ready to launch an attack on Germany, but Hitler beat him to the punch. Stalin wanted a war in the West to make it easy for the Red Army, but France's quick fall ruined those plans.

Yeah, it took a long time for the Red Army to recover after nearly all of its generals & most of its officer corps were taken out & shot during the 1937 purges ordered by the paranoic Stalin.

His forced industrialization of Russia off in terms of tank & heavy weapons production, but he still needed tons of aid from the U.S.

A German general saw a T-34 for the first time, in the early days of Barbarossa, and remarked that if the Russians could mass produce them, Germany would lose the war.
