The Atlantic on Monday published a lengthy account of the Trump family’s rise, political aspirations and, allegedly, the infighting between Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. including suspicions of planted stories about the other.
That reporting has been enthusiastically denied by the White House, where Ivanka works as a senior aide to her dad, President Donald Trump.
Discussing the story on Tuesday’s episode of The View, however, co-host Meghan McCain said she trusted what it showed, calling it “illuminating.” But she said she wasn’t as moved to empathy about the family as co-host Abby Huntsman.
“I found myself feeling sorry for the kids at different moments,” Huntsman said of Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump, who were partially raised in a tabloid swirl of their father’s own making.
“No offense, they crashed my dad’s funeral. They get nothing from me,” McCain cut in, referring to when Ivanka and Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, attended Sen. John McCain‘s memorial last year.
President Trump was excluded from the funeral after a long history of denigrating Sen. McCain, which continued after he died.
“They’re not good people,” Meghan said on The View.

I wish President Trump would send the ‘white privileged’ classless family a bill for every dollar the US tax payers spent on these freaks political funeral. If this ‘white privileged’ itch wanted a private funeral she and her rich mommy should have paid for it.

the WH authorizing full funeral rites, including planes here to there and back, something they didn’t have to do and is rarely done in the first place, should, out of common courtesy, something Meghan lacks, allow the WH be able to send a WH rep to the memorial. That Meghan resents it was Ivanka, says more about Meghan than Ivanka. It’s time ME-again stopped wearing her daddy’s rank on her sleeve and living off the back of her daddy’s memory and accomplished something a bit more substantial than appearing on babysitter tv.
My comments are NOT regarding the Atlantic ... but that the spoiled McCain brat, the personification of 'white privileged ' made it a subject of discussion.
Announcing that someone isn’t invited to a funeral has to be one of the most classless things I’ve ever heard. People attend funerals out of respect, not because they actually enjoy it. I’m sure Jared and Ivanka had about a million places they’d rather have been than attending McCain’s funeral yet they showed up anyway because that’s what decent people do. Going on TV and trashing someone because they showed up to honor your father is just disgusting. There are “not good people” here, but it’s not Jared and Ivanka.

Meghan is kind of all over the map. She both hates and likes Trump and his family. She has beef with Donald Trump over his disagreements with John McCain, her late dad, but seemed at various times in her punditry to understand why he won and be forced at Fox News and The View to defend him.
No. Haven’t done that since early high school, thankfully.

I just know that for a time Meghan was used by the left. It began when she had issues with The Palin’s and so after her dad lost his presidential run she was hired by a lefty rag The Daily Beast, to write. She was always bashing the right. Then she seemed to be embraced by Hollywood. Which made me dislike her. There’s more but it’s safe to say I didn’t like her for years. She was at MSNBC and Pivot two lefty stations before Fox News and quickly left FNC for The View. So I figured she was rino. She is a work in progress as she is slowly moving more the right but still is rino on some issues.
