The Washington Post "Fact Checker" column gave former CIA operative and current Democratic New Mexico congressional candidate Valerie Plame three "Pinocchios" for her claim that former George W. Bush administration official I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby leaked her identity.
Plame blamed Libby for the leak in a campaign ad released Monday, but according to the Post's fact-check, there is no evidence he disclosed her role to columnist Robert Novak.
Novak wrote the piece that reported that Plame, identified as a CIA operative, suggested sending her husband, Joe Wilson, to Niger to look into a report that Saddam Hussein had sought uranium in Africa. The claim that Hussein was going after uranium in Africa was used to justify the Iraq War, making Wilson and Plame key figures in the story of how the war came about.
The fact-check column in the Post concluded that the source identifying Plame for Novak's column was then-Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and that Novak confirmed it with White House aide Karl Rove and a CIA spokesman.
Armitage himself has said he may have been the leaker, the Post's fact-check column noted. The column is written by Glenn Kessler, who notes that he was a defense witness in Libby's trial and offered testimony.
However, the Post said it gave Plame three rather than the full four "Pinocchios" for the claim due to "possible seeding of the leak" by Libby.

My biggest shock from her ad is how nasty she looks now from plastic surgery. This woman was drop-dead gorgeous. No longer. Malignant narcissism.
Pffttt... Oh NOW the Amazon Post comes clean. They were part of the big lie.
Their motto: “Lie first, ask questions later!”
If you park your car every day in the CIA parking lot, you’re not an undercover operative.
She was Jewish too.
I thought she was pretty attractive, but I never found her drop-dead gorgeous. You're right about the plastic surgery/botox/makeup/digital special effects or whatever they used in that commercial. Her cheekbones don't look real at all.
Here’s how Valerie Plame, and her husband Amb Joe Wilson, tapped into a bundle of State Dept tax dollars w/ help from their pal, Secy Hillary.
BACKSTORY Sid Blumenthal was (is) the conniving Clintons’ bagman-—a $325,000 employee of the Clinton Foundation, hired to (gag) promote Clinton’s presidential legacy. On the side, Sid promoted dubious foreign deals and schemes in which he had a financial interest many of them predicated on the fall of Libya.
Blumenthal was ambidextrous-—emailing Libya foreign policy messages w/ one hand....his other hand firmly in the State Dept cookie jar.
In one (leaked) confidential e-mail to Clinton, Blumenthal was clearly colluding w/ onetime Amb Joe Wilson (Valerie’s husband) to score a bundle of tax dollars.
GAME ON Amb Wilson pumped himself as a ‘director’ of Symbion Power-—an outfit seeking millions of dollars in contracts from an obscure government agency chaired by Hillary....the Millennium Challenge Corp (MCC)....a notorious slush fund.
In September 2010, Hillary ordered MCC to award Symbion $47 million tax dollars for (cough) ‘power projects in Tanzania.’
......how much of the $47 million tax dollars got to Tanzania after the players divvied it up among Blumenthal, Wilson, the Clintons, Obama?.........
FREEPER ACTION PROJECT—DO THIS NOW: demand the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) books be opened. We demand to know the financial details and the scope and dimension of individuals connected to these outrageous State Dept giveaways.........govt parasites like Blumenthal, Plame and her husband pocketing zillions at taxayers’ expense.

Millenium Challenge is also the quasi govt agency Obama took 100 million tax dollars to give to Michelle to give to Morocco “to teach Muslim girls.” The 100 million is to be held by the Obama Foundation and doled out “when needed.”
(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)
There's the bone being tossed to the left. Of course you could minimize any lie by speculating that maybe there's some other fact out there we don't know about that would make it less of a lie. If Plame has a shred of evidence that Libby "seeded" the leak then lets hear it.
Uh, yeah. Joe had some tea and overheard some chatter whilst in Africa. Super spy NOT! But in NM these days she could win. Sad.
So shes saying that Armitage took the fall for Libby. Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

This is from back in the day when “leaking” was illegal and thought to be big deal. So big in fact, you could be punished and actually go to jail! Seems it was eons ago!
Bake Valerie a yellow cake and put it in her face.
OMG she is running to be my Congresscritter.
I think I am going to be sick.
Hillary might be relieved... I think I just heard a report that old Yellowcake Joseph Wilson died.
JOSEPH WILSON ...HE’S DEAD, JIM... IN HIS HOME IN NM OF ‘ORGAN FAILURE’
The outrageous dishonesty around the Scooter Libby put up job was a foreshadowing of what we’re seeing today — where you’re practically pulling your hair out over the brazen lying and the fact that they can get away with it.
Symbion also had a huge lawsuit against Tanzania... not sure how it turned out
A three year investigation that revealed that it was Armitage all along but yet he received no punishment.
I never could figure that one out.......
