Eventually, NOT having a social media presence will itself get you on their list.

They’ll say, “You must be one of them malcontents who refuse to follow the progressive social dreams of well-adjusted model citizens. VERY SUSPICIOUS.”

Crazy? Well, tell me what kind of credit score a person has who never acquired any credit?

I know someone who has not ever used credit cards, and had a car loan many years ago, but nothing since. She has not been able to get a credit card recently, based on such skimpy credit history.

So eventually not being on social media to get a social credit score, could itself be used against people.

Ezra Pound was a huge devotee of social credit.

He thought Poets should get a LOT of social credit.

It’s already here to an extent. It just hasn’t been institutionalized yet.

Once your score is lowered to the point that others disassociate with you because it lowers their score, then you are isolated and can never get back to a high enough score to be anything but PNG - ostracised by the state, your friends (so-called) and family.

This appears to be a vicious cycle that only ends up in either instant subservience/acquiescence or outright isolation and death.

Mark of the beast.

PayPal will close the accounts of anyone it does not agree with

When Paypal decided to attempt to force their users to attach their checking accounts to their Paypal account several years ago, I told them to go eff themselves and discontinued using my account with them.

If you pay cash for booze or a Big Mac, how is that detected by the state? Real question.

Your cell phone. Your vehicle black box. Various other means (cameras). Just being there will be enough to implicate you.

...most of them seem ok be OK with it. Their reasoning is that it instills discipline on the ordinary citizen !!

Is this approval authentic, or is it required in order to keep Social Credit status?

Go to Truthoverpower’s page, where it says he’s been here “Since Aug 24, 2013”.

The blue bar below that has 5 links to click on. Click on “Contact”.

That page shows an email address of **********com@gmail.com

FR, like the major social network websites, is not a closed chat room with four walls and no hidden microphones or cameras or spies that will tell on you. FR is an open book just like the rest. Be careful what you say and list on your personal page.

There lies the problem. Who after Trump. The GOP bench looks mighty thin.

Of course it will! Big internet companies want to make money, and will jump at the opportunity to develop a system tailor made for each country. They will make billions of dollars, and individuals will lose their freedom.

In the USA politicians have created the “no fly” list, and then proposed using it to control gun purchases. “Credit bureaus” are actually central repositories of specific financial information for each individual, which the government can look into when it wishes. (Don’t tell me it doesn’t. When I go for a car loan, Sam the Salesman can look at it. Of course the government can. )

DMV information is linked to arrest records. That’s a huge mf’er of a database.

What will happen in the USA is that several smaller systems will be developed, all with innocent names and information on citizens. Then they will be linked, while keeping their innocent names, and voila!

But the Chinese people have been raised under communism.

Yes they have, but they’ve also been raised Chinese. For thousands of years the Chinese have been taught “their place”. And part of their place is their part in society as a whole. Foreign to us where we value individualism, but not to them. If everyone does the job his/her place requires, then society as a whole will prosper. I might be wrong, but if the Chinese emperors, long before Communism was a gleam in Marx’s eye, had the means to implement a social credit score system, they’d’ve enthusiastically embraced the idea.

It is already here in bits and pieces; it is just not systematized.
