It's my understanding that South Africa has a problem with illegals that's even bigger than ours.As backward as the country is it's still the "Nirvana" of Africa...Africa's "Promised Land".

Having done some traveling in that part of the world I can guarantee that neighbors like Mozambique,Zimbabwe,Angola and Congo...along with many others...are cesspools the likes of which it's hard for Westerners to comprehend.

IMO *all* countries have a right to have borders and to *defend* those borders.And South Africa,with all its faults,is no different.

If one considers Africa's vast natural resources it's got to be one of the riches continents on earth. But with an average IQ of 70 and a life span of 40 years, those folks have a lot of problems to overcome....

It was run by white Boers — their ancestors were Dutch yes, but also French Huguenots. In any case they were in Africa since the 1600s - I know many white South Africans and Zimbabweans and they proudly call themselves Africans.

Having natural resources doesn’t necessarily make a country rich - it’s how you manage it and the institutions you have (rule of law, right to property etc.)
