Boris Johnson’s fledgling premiership was in tatters last night after MPs kicked out his bid to call a general election to force through his no-deal Brexit.
The PM suffered the defeat on only his third day in office – after Tories he brutally purged for voting against him on Tuesday joined opposition parties to reject his call for a poll.
Mr Johnson had earlier lost a bid to block MPs from voting to take no-deal off the table. And it came a day after Tory rebels helped push through a debate to discuss the matter.
Amid the backlash, it meant Mr Johnson became the first PM in history to lose his first three Commons votes in a row.

I think you have a good analysis, but you are missing one possibility:
The EU wants the UK to remain.
I can see the EU grant an extension if a no-deal Brexit is looming, throwing a life-line to the Remain MPs.
I think in that case the Mob may vote to remove the Queen. The Hate against a UK and an England is strong with these EU craven zombies.
Hardly. Boris can just block the Remoaners by advising the Queen not to give Royal Assent.
If anybody complains, he can just remind them that they can have a vote of no confidence and hold a general election if they wish.
Checkmate. Brexit goes ahead OR put the issue before the voters in a general election. Those are your only two options.
Particularly if an election is held and Nigel can more effectively keep Boris from reverting to the May Brexit, which in material ways would be worse than no Brexit at all.

BORIS JOHNSON has been handed an unlikely boost to his pledge to deliver Brexit by October 31 as EU leaders could still yet reject an Article 50 extension after Remainers thwarted the Prime Minister’s attempt to trigger a general election.
Leaders are unlikely to sanction a third extension to the EU’s two-year Article 50 exit clause without cast-iron guarantees of a general election, EU sources have warned. In a boost to Brexiteers, signs have emerged that EU capitals are ready to cut ties with Britain amid growing frustrations with long-lasting Westminster deadlock.

Any Article 50 extension requires unanimous support amongst the EU’s remaining 27 leaders, so could easily be thwarted.
EU diplomats warned that the bloc’s willingness to consider an extension will hinge on Britain setting out a clear roadmap for how more time could lead to an outcome and legal guarantees that the Government would not disrupt EU affairs.

The EU can only grant an extension if the UK asks for it - the UK controls that requesting
And the other 27 countries do not have a unanimous agreement on extension - especially since it seems that there is no way any kind of agreement could be made even with a 1 year extension. the uk is in paralysis
The remain crows will try to throw Boris Johnson out after October 31, then ask the EU for more time.
The people of the UK have been scared into remaining and that election will be the second referendum the remain crowd wants.

If Boris is thrown out after October 31, Brexit will have already happened.
The other 27 countries see no point in “more time” considering the UK has already used 6 months and done nothing.
Another election will create another divided house.
Another referendum will create another close decision.
Let’s be clear - the odds of some kind of Brexit happening is nearly 100% and the odds of hard, no-deal Brexit on October 31, 2019 is between 90% to 95%
I think you do not understand the global socialists very well....they will not let the UK go easily and many MPs are working with the EU to derail Brexit in any form.

After the Teresa May delays in negotiating, I predicted the global socialists were working hard to derail any Brexit unless the punishment was massive.
I stand by that the desire to have a second referendum and to stop Brexit is stronger than ever.

1. “Theresa May delays in negotiating” — hmmm... what delays? She sent David Davis, a leading LEAVE campaigner to negotiate. He did negotiate and came back with a UK-eu agreement in November 2018.

2. “socialists working hard to derail any Brexit” - the withdrawal agreement was negotiated by a leading LEAVE campaigner David Davis - who derailed that?
3. The desire for a second referendum was strong until July. Now even the staunchest remainers have realized that they can’t necessarily win a second referendum and even if they do, that it won’t stop a future Brexit. So there is little to no desire for a second referendum any more.
I predict the UK will leave on Oct 31 - 90% sure today

Bingo. He expects there will be some short-term chaos after a no-deal Brexit (shortages of food and medicine, maybe even resumption of sectarian violence in Ireland) and that the public will blame Johnson.
I hope he's wrong, but that's his strategy.
