Chinese Vice Premier Liu He met with a delegation led by US Senator Steve Daines and Senator David Perdue here on Tuesday.
Liu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said Sino-US relations are related to the stability and prosperity of the world
Speaking of the great importance of US-China relations, Daines, also co-chair of the US House of Senate US-China Working Group, and Perdue, said they are not willing to see economic and trade conflicts between the two sides, adding that they will continue to play positive roles in deepening mutual understanding and promoting the development of bilateral relations.

Could be a clear violation of the Logan Act.
if you think that is all they talked about I have a bridge in Brooklyn you may be interested in purchasing. It’s a good deal!!!
Lou Dobbs reported on Daines and Perdue tonight as he was joined by Ed Rollins and Michael Goodwin.
What an outrage.
Perdue and Daines ought to be locked up with the likes of John Kerry for Logan Act violations.
Or it could be at the behest of Trump
China owns them all.
The Founders never considered a day would come when foreigners would control our media.
Both of these Republicans mainstreamers made careers out of off shoring and closing US factories.
The Logan Act only applies to private citizens.
Fixed it.
Incorrect about Perdue
If they are not acting in official capacity could they be considered private citizens?
Id never vote for them again if they were my senator.
In 2002, Perdue left Reebok for Pillowtex, a North Carolina textile company. The company had recently emerged from bankruptcy with a heavy debt load and an underfunded pension liability. Perdue was unable to obtain additional funding from the company's investors and later was unsuccessful in finding a buyer for the company. He left the company in 2003 after nine months on the job and $1.7 million in compensation. Pillowtex closed several months later, leaving 7,650 workers out of work nationwide. With more than 4,000 jobs lost statewide, the closing of Pillowtex resulted in the largest single-day job loss in North Carolina history at the time.[15]
The remaining Krotch Bros loves them both.
On Lou Dobbs the suggested pulling the Air Force jets out of China and make the fly commercial back to the USA.
They're there as Senators not as private citizens. Anything they do is assumed to be with the authority of the United States. What they are doing may not be helpful but it isn't illegal.
OK, where is that codified?
In the Logan Act.
