Walmart is set to end sales of handguns in Alaska and will discontinue the sale of short-barrel rifle and handgun ammunition in stores nationwide, Most AR's have 16"-18" barrels. I would think this is what they are referring to.
Think I'll run by Walmart this afternoon and take advantage of any closeout sales in the Sporting Goods Dept. /sarc
