The eco-minded Prince Harry is embarking on a massive travel sustainability initiative in partnership with key travel providers. They aim to improve the practices of the global industry amid an ever-increasing number of travelers.
The Duke of Sussex picked Amsterdam, a city hit hard by over-tourism, to announce Travalyst at a news conference Tuesday with his partners, Booking.com; TripAdvisor; Visa; China’s largest travel company, Ctrip; and the Ctrip-owned fare aggregator Skyscanner.

Harry drew criticism this summer when he and his family took a private jet to go on vacation, despite the flight’s carbon impact on the planet. They had flown to the home of singer Elton John, who said the aircraft offered them needed privacy and protection, and was carbon-neutral because it was offset by a contribution to Carbon Footprint.
“I spend 99% of my life traveling the world by commercial” aircraft, Harry said Tuesday. He said he would take a private jet only when circumstances called for it, and would offset the carbon footprint.

Apparently, we can all keep traveling but we can absolve ourselves of our co2 sins if we pay an indulgence to a group that promises to plant trees.

He needs to fly on private jets to keep his family safe? Flying commercial is fine for future Kings William and George, so Harry’s excuse to indulge himself and his greedy wife is lame. It’s just one “let them eat cake” comment after another with these two spoiled brat hypocrites. I wonder how much Harry is being paid to use his royal title to promote this travel initiative? Andrew and Fergie all over again. Anything to make a buck, while pretending to be royal and humanitarian. They are not humanitarians; they just want some nice paychecks.

Trees, really? That’s absurd. They keep peddling the ridiculous notion that trees only consume CO2 and produce oxygen. They neglect to consider the Respiration process wherein plants consume oxygen and produce CO2. This is how terrariums work. Maybe they only consider daytime photosynthesis because the AGW ppl sleep at night so complete ignorance of what plants do at night.

Carbon offsets are a complete farce. The reason is that one does not depend on the other. If somebody truly believed in global warming, they could still buy the offset, AND not generate additional carbon.
So if you really believe it, you should be reducing your carbon footprint. And buying offsets.

Did anybody here watch King of the Hill? Every time I hear about someone paying for ‘carbon offsets’, I think of Dale Gribble. He started a ‘company’ that would plant trees for payment from the guilt ridden people in his town. Only he never planted the trees, he just took their money. I would love to see proof that planting trees can neutralize a plane flight.
What was the great security need to fly on private planes to Nice, France and Ibiza, Spain? The D and D of Dimwit travel with royal protection officers in any case. I think by using the word “protect”, Halfwit means they are protecting their privacy. These two are shady liars who want to conduct their shady life in secret.
