Hey radu!

Good weekend on my end, pretty much lazed-out with a bit of shopping here and there.

Cooled off a little bit too.

Howz things your way?

What a beauty she is. I hope she rides out the storm so they can get back aboard. And I hope they stay safe. I know your brother is frustrated that he can’t be there to help them.

Great to hear things are going well.

It’s been a quiet weekend here. Other than doing my stint at the military museum Saturday, just been at home.

Ooooo, lucky you! Cooled off a little, did it? Wish it would do the same here. Still hot and the humidity is slowly climbing again.

Good evening, radu...a few sprinkles overnight and a couple times early this morning. Not hardly enough to completely wet the street. Hoping the fire areas got more. We get another shot late this evening.

Are you heating up again? Any rain in the close future?

Maybe you’ll get a decent dose before all’s said and done. Just checked the radar and there’s a lot of rain on the Kenai Peninsula and it’s moving north. That should help a lot with the fires there.

Still hot here and the humidity is creeping back up. As of early this morning, no chances for rain here all week but maybe tonight’s forecast will have something. Not holding my breath as I wait for the forecast.

Glad you are starting to cool off.

We are too, but the fires continue. Smoke blows in and smoke blows out and we’ve had high winds for a couple days.

My instructor in T-33s was Doug Cairns. His father was General Cairns, the man the airfield is named for. Doug was an AF Academy grad and a fine officer.

I remember flying out of Cairns AAF. That’s where we conducted instrument phase during flight school. Also where I transitioned in the UH-60.

If the radar isn’t lying, the Kenai is getting a good soaking now. They certainly need it and I hope it’s enough to put the fires out.

No rain at all in tonight’s 7-day forecast for us. In a way it’s good because I noticed some farmers around here are beginning to harvest. Can’t do that while everything’s wet.
