Meanwhile, no crash effort to implement desalinization plants to alleviate the state water shortage.
No efforts to build more power capabilities.
No efforts to mainline the homeless back into society.
No effort to get our deficit budgets under control.
No effort to put an end to the negative impacts of illegal aliens on our local, regional, state, and federal infrastructure.
The big problems in the state get no attention.
Instead they continually address minor issues and herald them as some of the most brilliant ideas since sliced bread.
Sadly some of our own people fall for it hook line and sinker.
Bingo!
1. Desalinization plants not viable with current power generation state in Texas.
2. There are tons of power generation stations under construction in Texas.
3. Mainlining the homeless back into society = what we’re seeing in LA and SF. I don’t want that.
4. Technically, Texas is incapable of running budget deficits.
5. Courts have said that states cannot enforce immigration law. State can’t do much about it.
I can only talk about the law they put in and my questions as to what it is going to do to the boating community.
While in central Alaska, in the military, we had a rescue boat, a Chris Craft 25 foot jet boat, 351 Cleveland marine, to handle the current of the Yukon River, about 11 knots. And it had a kill switch built by the manufacturer. I felt a lot better we had it as the Yukon can fool you easily if you don’t stay on the cut bank and if you skim a sandbar everything goes flying and the boat can hit other things in the river like 15 foot trees floating down in breakup. Can do a lot of damage and cause a lot of people injuries if the boat continues with no pilot. With the kill switch activated, the engine stalls and the boat comes down off step and will rest in the bar not looking for something else to hit.
