Joe diGenova: FISA report circulating 'inside and outside' of Justice Department
Washington Examiner ^ | August 29, 2019 | Daniel Chaitin

Posted on 08/30/2019 7:56:07 PM PDT by george76

diGenova said Inspector General Michael Horowitz has determined all four FISA warrants against one-time Trump campaign aide Carter Page were illegally obtained.

...

DiGenova said if he were attorney general, any officials involved in obtaining the Page FISA warrants who are still in the department would be "gone." He singled out Dana Boente, who is the general counsel now under FBI Director Christopher Wray. The April 2017 FISA renewal was approved by Boente and former FBI Director James Comey,

...

DiGenova also discussed the two people he wants to hear from after the FISA report is released. He said he wants to know what the presiding judge of the 11-member FISA Court, Rosemary Collyer, will do to the people who "lied" to the court. And diGenova said he wants to hear from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who makes appointments to the court and supervises it.

"He had no problem criticizing the president of the United States for making comments about the political leanings of some judges on the 9th Circuit," DiGenova said of Roberts. "Well, Mr. Chief Justice, get off your tush and tell us what you think about this disgraceful conduct in your court — the FISA Court."

It would be disastrous for a ‘decline to prosecute’ in an official report to be issued while charges were secretly being planned. Defense would have an easy case.

Uncovering previously unknown info could always lead to charges in the future, noting the 5-year fed statute of limitations.

Thanks, jjotto.

Now I’m wondering what happened with Paul Manafort. Didn’t the DOJ investigate him years before but declined to prosecute, and then changed their mind years later? I don’t know if there was an official report, though.

Note that this is from the IG report. Horowitz isn’t deciding to charge, he’s reporting what he was told by the Criminal Division when they reviewed his preliminary report.

US attorneys had an open but inactive file on Manafort. Mueller exploited that.

Other IG reports have similar endings, but sometimes there’s no indication of any action or not. When there’s no note, something could be up. The bottom line is that misleading the IG by anybody is certainly against the rules and probably illegal.

It’s been 4 years, obviously.

Unfortunately, the gambit for the Special Counsel worked, and it stopped everything until that investigation was officially completed - silly as it was. Read the Mueller report, and observe how any attempt to act was construed as obstruction of justice. Note how the evidence from the Ukraine on their former Russia-tied AGs collusion with the Hillary campaign couldn’t even be accepted.

I think the odds are higher it is CJ john Roberts than any other John Roberts.

But - I don’t know with certainty. Someone should ask him!

I'm strongly inclined to believe that not a single one of these seditious punks will ever sit at the defendant's table.

As the accused that is!

But then I was convinced that I'd wake up that Wednesday morning to hear "President Elect ILLary".

Well analyzed and stated. I’m with you. Time will tell for all and any of us if the Deep State runs the country or we do have a system of justice.

Thanks for your support. I’ve posted similar views on a few threads over the last three days or so, including one quite forceful little number in response to some FReeper who essentially called me a deep state “sycophant.”

I replied that where I come from “sycophant” is fighting words and to consider his nose bloodied.

Sheesh! ... I never start fights but if someone wants to start one with me, my policy has always been to dish out about 10 times as much $#!& as they just handed me.

Sheesh! ... (heavy sigh) ... anyway, thanks for your kind words, FRiend.

If Bongino says nobody will go to jail then why spend time on this. The socialists have won the day.

Lisa Page, Peter Strzok Conducted FBI’s Review to Classify Comey’s Memos

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/09/01/deep-state-lisa-page-peter-strzok-conducted-fbis-review-to-classify-comeys-memos/

NEW YORK — Former FBI employees Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the once romantically-linked duo infamous for their anti-Trump text messages, conducted the initial agency review of disgraced ex-FBI chief James Comey’s memos to determine whether the documents contained any potentially classified information.

Working on the initial classification review with Page and Strzok was another member of Comey’s inner circle, James A. Baker, the former FBI general counsel.
