What is this “logic” that says, “oh, it wasn’t in his house - it was ‘just’ in his garage, so therefore the owner should not have defended himself”? Property is property - get off my lawn!
Agreed.
I agree
I agree.
If you’re going on someone’s property ... and the owner is unaware or has not invited you, “expect anything”.

Unfortunately, that is the legal STANDARD for the police. They can go into a detached garage, your backyard or any of your property to check out anything they find suspicious. Without a warrant. Just not into your domicile.
One can only use deadly force if in reasonable fear of immediate serious bodily injury. Three kids sitting in a car in a detached garage does not get one there.
Seem to me the thug parents wanted to avoid jail sending kids do the drug dealing, and now they want their business back and blame the home owner.
This sht is so effed up. Thank a democrat.
If a person breaks into your home it’s clear cut - you have the right to defend yourself.
In the garage situation what makes it tricky is that he confronted the criminals and might have been afraid for his life... in which case he would get a pass. You can’t just kill people because they’re on your property.
