MSNBC host Lawrence ODonnell tried to weasel his way out of reporting fake news about President Trump colluding with Russian oligarchs, by apologizing on air Thursday night. However, Eric Trump says its too late, and warned ODonnell that he will face legal action over the slur.
ODonnell essentially did the bare minimum in an effort to avoid legal consequences, saying I should not have said it on-air or posted it on Twitter. I was wrong to do so.
Last night on this show, I discussed information that wasnt ready for reporting. I repeated statements a single source told me about the presidents finances and loan documents with Deutsche Bank saying if trueas I discussed the information was simply not good enough, he said.

Melania has filed more than one and won. I think the Trump family has had more than enough and this is the only way to shut up the lies they have been spinning for too long.
And that was no apology.. he said he should not have reported it for reasons.. but he never said it was a false story. Sue till they get the message... they are not journalists, they are the enemy trying to null an election
It’s the son, not Trump
If there is no law, there is no law
Then, extralegal extermination becomes premissible
Theres nothing it Trumps Tax returns. If there were the IRS would have leaked it.
O’Donell wasn’t apologizing. He was trying to change everyone’s mind.
The underlying issue here is the use of an anonymous source. I don’t know how to recalibrate the law in this area, but a reporter who goes public with accusations from anonymous sources is vouching for their reliability. The reporter should acquire some potential liability. A named source is different. In that case, the potential libel would attach to the source, not the reporter. As it is, reporters have gotten into the habit of mainstreaming sheer rumor, speculation and malicious fabrications from hidden actors. That really needs to be reined in.
Too funny... I guess this is why people hate the press more than they hate politicians.
“I should not have said it on-air or posted it on Twitter. I was wrong to do so.
AND...”Ladies and gentlemen of the jury...considering Mr Lawrence has already admitted to his wrongdoing in this matter, we ask that you find him guilty as charged...and award President Trump the full $25 million the aggrieved party is requesting as recompense.”
Wake me when the suit is filed.
Since Trump has attorneys on a retainer the likelihood is high there will be a suit.
If you believe years, perhaps decades, of Trump coverage by Forbes, Trump does not have the wealth he claims.
If tax returns were released, that would be the likely revelation
No. MSNBC has to show proof. The President does not. If they dont have it, they can’t fish for it.
Every time the media whores say if true ... it should trigger a lawsuit.

Im ready to see Shepherd Smith and Neil Cavuto to be sued, fired, preferably both.
That’s even better.
Shep Smith can GO POUND!!
Terribly disappointed w Cavuto, always liked him, until his Never Trumper kicked in! No he could go scr3w too!!!
O’Donnell is one screwed up guy!
TDS is strong w that one!
yes. they need to be checked.
If you listen closely, he never says the charges are untrue. He just says he came out too soon.
That was the part that probably kept O'Donnell in trouble when he tried to weasel out of it. In fact, I noted this at the tail end of my video yesterday: Lawrence O'Donnell Apologizes for Being a Complete Idiot.
