There has been some conjecture that Trump has used some Puerto Rico hurricane recovery money for border walls. Anyone know anything about this, and why there is about a $30 billion discrepancy between what Congress approved and what PR is supposed to have received? ALso why does Trump keep saying he has spent more than double in PR than what Congress has actually approved.
It’s been about 3 thousand years since the Israelis begged for kings instead of judges.

If you truly believe that was the course of action the President should have taken, and when you realized there was no funding for the wall as of Jan 22, 2017, did you speak up and voice your constructive opinion at the time?
It is pointless to second-guess the President now with the benefit of hindsight unless the purpose is to depress support for him, though I doubt many people will be affected when they know and appreciate the fact that President Trump is the only person who will build the wall.
Which military construction funds will NOT be impacted? New officers quarters and anything that serves the brass. EM construction and base reconstruction will be hard hit.

Two categories that I am aware of:
1. Current year work. That gives Congress the opportunity to restore the money in the next budget, without slowing down any projects, or incurring any extra costs to shut down/start back up, or contract penalties.
2. Housing.

Recently, the Administration applied some FEMA money ($155 million) from the Disaster Relief Fund (general contingency funds - not specifically for Puerto Rico) to support the handling of detainees at the border - detention space and hearing locations for asylum-seekers (not border wall).
The Left (media) discussed Puerto Rico, because Hurricane Dorian was heading that way at the time (it has since missed Puerto Rico).
Amen. PDJT is going to get right on that as soon as he gets approval from Hillary.

and so on. It is news when Trump actually SPENDS THE MONEY to build the wall. Not when he “intends” to spend the money or when he is “poised to” spend the money.
