President Trumps personal assistant, Madeleine Westerhout, whose office sits in front of the Oval Office and who has served as the presidents gatekeeper since Day 1 of his administration, resigned on Thursday, two people familiar with her exit said.
Ms. Westerhouts abrupt and unexpected departure came after Mr. Trump learned on Thursday that she had indiscreetly shared details about his family and the Oval Office operations she was part of at a recent off-the-record dinner with reporters staying at hotels near Bedminster, N.J., during the presidents working vacation, according to one of the people, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss White House personnel issues...
Ms. Westerhout, a former Republican National Committee aide who also worked for Mitt Romneys 2012 presidential campaign, reportedly cried on election night because she was upset over Mr. Trumps victory. As such, the president at first viewed her warily, as a late convert to his cause who could not be trusted.

I just threw up a little...
Trump talks to the NYT all the time. As do Javanka and their PR team.
Agreed.
AGAIN, who is doing the job recommendations, huh? That’s who the snake in the grass and needs to be fired.
Little Head making the hiring decisions.
Trump has hired the worst people and only has himself to blame. Instead of hiring MAGA people, he let Priebus fill the WH with swamp rats. Very smelly swamp rats.
Personal assistant probably has a lot of pull with respect to scheduling and “access”...which indirectly touch on who the President sees, and in what light. Which then affects decisions made. Or, alternatively, hears the President unguarded, and can pass on to Swampies the Prez’s thinking, so they can color their presentations.
She was bought off by the media to make up stories.
Why?
Well my first guess is to keep close track of his enemy’s actions, motivations and general state of Romney type followers.
I think such actions are part of trump’s modus operadus... which is politically uncoventional.
Trump SOP for continuous smoking out his opposition.
such an obvious and repetitive personal anomaly/characteristic is not a defect... it is a feature... and it is very very intentional.
at a recent off-the-record dinner with reporters..
As soon as I found that out, I would fire her.

Your dumb made up word is always my cue to stop reading...
she was finally fired.
Sorry but while it is necessary to support Trump and he is far preferable to any Democrat, cannot be in an adulatory mode especially on a conservative web site that is a free and open forum for ideas. It is not inappropriate to criticize or make observations regarding his performance, behavior and leadership. On occasion it may actually help.
Essentially the same tactic used by the US to get the Japanese to reveal that Midway was their next target during WWII.
“indiscreetly shared details about his family and the Oval Office operations she was part of at a recent off-the-record dinner with reporters staying at hotels near Bedminster, N.J”
What are these details? I haven’t seen these written any where. I think this is also B.S.
I'm calling you out on your "mind reading".
You have no idea if he expected to win or not.
now STFU and GTFO!
(I believe thats attributed to Anton Levay, but he probably stole it somewhere.)

“No, Trumps supporters would not have complained had Trump picked a real loyalist as AG.”
We didn’t know he wasn’t a loyalist.
But to claim as you did that Trump’s supporters wouldn’t have backed him naming anyone but Sessions as AG is ridiculous
