Colleges have become left wing indoctrination centers and an increasing number of Americans see it.

A recent survey found that an increasing number of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents see colleges as bad for the country.

A new Pew Research Center survey finds that only half of American adults think colleges and universities are having a positive effect on the way things are going in the country these days. About four-in-ten (38%) say they are having a negative impact – up from 26% in 2012.

The share of Americans saying colleges and universities have a negative effect has increased by 12 percentage points since 2012. The increase in negative views has come almost entirely from Republicans and independents who lean Republican. From 2015 to 2019, the share saying colleges have a negative effect on the country went from 37% to 59% among this group. Over that same period, the views of Democrats and independents who lean Democratic have remained largely stable and overwhelmingly positive.

One of the (many) great things about the last tax bill was the introduction of a tax on the endowments of the wealthier institutions of higher sedition. The government should stop giving taxpayer money to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. and start taxing them heavily.

If I was looking to fill a spot, a college degree would put the applicant out of the running. Unless you are a doctor, an engineer, or lawyer a degree means you can’t make it in the real world. A degree in Gender Studies is meaningless, I don’t think we should require a degree for teachers, I think real world experience is far more valuable.

When I went to school, almost all engineering students were conservative. Many still are, but now a majority are liberal.

College enrollment is starting to decline drastically. To keep enrollments up and in the interest of DIVERSITY, many schools are letting in subpar candidates and admitting them to programs (like engineering) they have no chance in. It’s actually sad. These kids will leave after a few semesters with few credits, but lots of debt. Some will stay and switch to easier (indoctrination) majors. Like Hollywood actors, most professors at least pretend to lean left to keep their jobs.

Retooling grad schools to be a year or two longer, and you can take the highly motivated and intelligent high school graduate.

those are the only kids who should be there to begin with.

IMHO it is time to let kids grow up sooner.

have you ever talked with any of them about what they had to take in all of the colleges/universities they graduated from?

For the past hundred years, but even more rapidly in the past 40+, grammar schools and high school have been SO dumbed down and degraded, even the most elite/posh private day and boarding school, that today, undergrad college is barely on a 1950's high school level and yet, you want these kids to go directly to grad school? LOL

Blame the parents for the ADULTS of today, who are emotionally and mentally hardly out of the TERRIBLE TWOS stage of life! From those who have totally ignored bringing up their child/children to the damned "helicopter" crowd...they've ALL totally abrogated their parental responsibilities!
