Hurricane Dorian battered St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and brushing Puerto Rico. Taking aim at the Florida Atlantic Coastline, Hurricane Dorian is projected to be a major hurricane (Category 3) at landfall.

It was a great winter though.

Actually Brevard County was hit hard from 4 hurricanes in 2004.....
......not direct hits like Dorian might be......but the hurricanes traveled up the state to Brevard and we had plenty of blue tarp homes and beach destruction to prove it!
In 1979 Category 1 Hurricane David parked itself off Cocoa Braxh and churned for a few days.....spawning tornadoes
Tom Terry from WFTV said Orlando could get 100 mph winds Monday afternoon.
Yes, I know.
Pointing out the obvious makes certain types of people mad.
Thank you, NN. People in Palm Beach C. are starting to take a look at this one.
Look, as a resident in its path, I found this to be a great post.
Please go be a digital curmudgeon on another thread.
Thank you...
Wow. I’ve heard it’s rare for Disney to shut down due to weather, but 100 mph winds might cause them to close.
The person I addressed had ASKED for exactly such a thread.
You find some objection to me pointing out a thread the poster had specifically asked for?
Why is that exactly?
On board for the ride.
Sure hope it doesn’t come up through Georgia.
They always bring Florida mosquitos up here, which haven’t
been too bad here in N.GA this year..
Review post #1. Please limit your posts on this thread to useful information for those in the path of a dangerous hurricane.
orlando is quite a ways from them it will just depends where it hits. They just moved there. My son is trying to get his wife and child to go see her parents in texas til this blows through....
Because you are a busy-body who acts like a REMF. And I presume you know what that means, and the behavior earning that dubious service ribbon.

Let.it.go.
Who pi$$ed in your Post Toasties? Must you always be so negative?
I await your similar admonishment to the folks who have chosen to chastise me.
I'm a victim and y'all wouldn't talk to me like that if I were white.
Happy New Season! Apparently all clear here in San Juan. Just one weak squall early afternoon that made the lights flicker but power has stayed on for now (a miracle given the continued weakness of our power grid).
Good luck to fellow Freepers and my family and friends in Florida.
