Stacey Abrams not running for Senate seat.

Collins is my rep. When boner stepped down as Speaker I called him and begged and pleaded with him not to vote for lil’ eddie munster AKA lyin’ ryan. He went ahead and did it anyway. Sorry, but I have about as much faith in him as I did in Isackson...
That is highly unlikely
Georgia is 55-59% white depending whos counting
30% black and 10% other depending whos counting
There was a news story a couple days ago. Demographer from Georgia was claiming 2025 for a majority of minorities in GA. It’s going to happen sooner or later. I wouldn’t get hung up on the exact date.
Info from 2010 census:
59% White
30% Black
8.8%+ Hispanic
10% Other including Asians, , etc.
That’s way over 100%. I have no idea what they did here. Ha ha. Based on what I see around Jax, FL I expect the Hispanic number for Georgia will explode for the 2020 census.

“May I be so bold as to suggest, The Herman Cain!!”
He will be a month short of 75 come Nov. 2020. Otherwise I like that pick.
Governor Kemp will appoint a Republican to serve out the term. Hopefully not Nathan Deal.
Herman Cain would have a lot of fun campaigning for a winning seat in 20’. We need it.
So our side resigns at the drop of the hat due to health reasons while the DNC has a guy in a coma for 6 months. I guess this guy didn’t want to be John McCain but this is why we are losing the war. Our side is just not full of true believers who are willing to do anything for power.
I voted for Herman initially when he and Isakson were running against each other. I would love to see him try again.
The Hill and Fox News disagree with you: A special election will be held to fill the remaining two years of Isaksons term during the next regularly scheduled election, meaning Georgia voters will cast ballots for both of the state’s Senate seats in 2020, when Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) is also up for reelection.

With his resignation, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, will now have to appoint a replacement for Isakson until a special election can be held in 2020. The winner of that election will serve the remaining two years of Isakson’s term, and the winner of the 2022 election will serve a full six-year term.

The Georgia constitution mandates that senate seats are filled with the next regularly scheduled election which is in 2020.
Retaining a senate seat is no longer certain in Georgia.
Jon Lossoff might run.
LOL
Just the same, the Governor needs to appoint someone good.
Absolutely correct. But it's worse now that the guy who was flawed is running AGAIN and might still fracture the vote enough (because if he loses a primary he has hinted at an independent run) to give the seat to the RATS again!
Thanks Robert A Cook PE.
My choice is Herman Cain but look for it to be Nathan Deal our former RINO governor.
